This has to be one of my favorite TF Marvel comics I read. After coming out of a dumb tale where Prime kills himself over losing a video game, we get a Insane Megatron fighting Predaking and inadvertendly killing himself by blowing up the spacebridge.
i dunno why, but I prefer the Marvel G1 comics over the cartoon..
i also like your recoloring of the Issue btw! It's nice to see the colors of the issue get dressed up a bit!

I enjoyed this story too.
I always preferred the comics over the cartoons. Β The stories were a bit more mature and consistent.
Thanks, glad you liked it.

^^
And I also liked the Regeneration One comic that was a sequel to the Marvel G1 comic. It seemed very fitting for a conclusion to the story!

Its probably the comic I've enjoyed reading the most in recent times, although I don't rate it as highly as do for Simon Furman's earlier works and I thought the end was a bit rushed.

cool! i actually used to have this issue back when i was collecting the original TF series but i dropped the series not long after this issue. but i thought it was cool how Megatron took this guy down it was a good reminder of how much of a bad ass Megatron is. by the way i finally finished that ROM vs The Brood piece you can now see the full sceneΒ csuhsux.deviantart.com/art/ROMβ¦

I had this issue, in days of yore!
Bonus Multiplier: that classic expository dialogue: "My x-ray laser cannon..."

Lol, you don't get dialogue like that anymore

Remember when Psylocke came back to the X-Men after her hot-ass ninja-babe makeover, how she had to identify her psychic knife longhand, at least once in ever single issue she appeared in?
"...the focused totality of my psychic powers..."
It was such a blatant expository line, plunked into dialogue and thought-bubbles where it really did not belong, thatΒ the fan letters about it got to the point that Marvel printed them out of self-deprecation. Can you imagine if other classic X-Men had to do the same thing?
Dazzler: "I'll use my solid light photon blast, made from converted sound, to destroy that robot."
Longshot: "Thanks goodness I had my supernatural powers of luck to dodge those bullets just right!"
Colossus: "I can protect these innocent bystanders with my near-invulnerable body made of super-strong organic steel!"
Oh my god... I'm writing these things too well! AAGH!

Now that would be awkward, especially if they had to go through the same thing with all the villains too

US#25 is one of my favourite comics ever because when I was young I compared it with the cartoons and found it a lot more interesting with "adult" situations. The comic was better in several ways.
The recoloring of this amazing page is spectacular! It seems you used a mix of old and new school coloring, making it something very special.

When I was a kid I always found the comics to be more grown up and better thought out than the cartoons.
Thanks, glad you like it.

Absolutely incredible! Very impressive colours!
Looks like you've used some kind of old-school dot matrix effect (especially on Predating's gun in the last panel).

Thanks mate.Β The dot-matrix effect was actually already part of the line art.Β I did originally give this an old paper texture to compliment the dots but it looked a bit over the top.
