Description
Transformers 81 and Seeds of Deception PRESENT:ISSUE 78.5
THE LAST QUEST: ACT 1
Art by Megumi M.
Story and lettering by Franco Villa
Edits by Juan Pablo Osorio and Ibai Canales
NOTES
Panel 1 shows the destruction of Unicron, as it took place in G1 Marvel US #75.
The original line "The battle is done, the story is told" comes from the last page of said G1 Marvel US #75.
Panel 2 takes place during the Cybertronian events of G1 Marvel US #77-78.
First, the Decepticons leave Cybertron from the Central Spaceport in the Ibex Quadrant; then the Autobots, after recovering some ancient ships from the Rad Zone.
It seemed only fitting that two (future) Action Masters remained on Cybertron.
Charger has an Earth mode. See his model sheet designed by Stavros Kundromicalis.
Rollout 's alt mode was designed by our own editor Ibai Canales.

If I may ask, why do an issue 78.5 promo comic?

Good answer already. But it's just another way for Transformers fans that are also amazing creators to support the comic and petition.
IDW will be releasing an issue #80.5, something a little earlier can whet the appetite.

Because we love writing Transformers?
No, seriously: the project was born before the petition started having the effect we all know, but we didn't want to let all the efforts go wasted.
So we turned the project from "We want #81" to "Waiting for #81": the story will help the fans remember (or know) that #81 is REALLY coming, and in the same time it will keep the flame of interest alive. We need to be vocal about Furman's return!
But I hope you'll appreciate the story and the art nonetheless...
