It’s a good song, but I only know about three or four words from it, so it’s just been Stevie Nicks warbling “The laaaaaaaandslide will bring it … downnnn,” for the whole dang morning.

I frakin' love this, the composition is just amazing, there's so much going on here with minimal details. I think it perfectly illustrates their relationship in Smallville...All other versions of Lex however would probably be trying his best to pull away, regardless of how far he is from the ground.

Oh man, this gives me some feelings. Lex's hand on Supe's head and just...augh. I always find the dynamic between Lex and Superman to be really interesting and this honestly sorta perfectly encapsulates it. The way Lex is holding him and yet, compositionally speaking, is in fact dragging Superman down is just great.

Aaaaah, thank you! And ditto--to me, their relationship is one of the most potentially interesting in all of comics. It's one of those things that makes me wish I were a writer, so I could really explore the nuances of it.

Hey, the only way to become a writer is to try! Although I think you've done a really great job of communicating that nuance with your art already.
Another thing I meant to mention and kinda wavered on was the fact that Superman's really long cape kind of also reads a really stylized splash of blood - which I get the feeling wasn't intentional, but it kind of works with the ambiguous nature of the picture. ...I don't really know what to say about that beyond "this is a thing" but there you go.

Can't decide if the pose looks more like a rescue or midair cuddling. The lower torsos suggest the former, but the position of Lex's hands make me think he's running his fingers through Supe's hair... plus, it kind of looks like he's sniffing his neck. Maybe Lex is taking advantage of the situation.

Huh, I thought from the thumbnail that they'd be engaged in mid-flight combat but they simply look like they're in a very deep, high-velocity embrace. The longest cape in the universe has been drawn really nicely in terms of spacing

I thinks this is beautiful, considering its a picture about Superman. I like how you made the cape really long because, it draws your eye to the main point of the picture. Also, you gave Superman a nice butt.
