First off, this is a great tutorial - but shouldn't it be considered a final penciling tutorial rather than an inking tutorial? Inking requires actual inks, I think...

Yeah... good tut, but not inking... title change if you will? It'll probably ease up the confusion. And the pics are a little hard to see. ^-^ But nice process.

No, it isn't.

This is not a good tutorial in any way, shape or form. It's not about inking (which it claims to be) or penciling (which you claim it to be.)

It's a 'tutorial' about tracing your line art with a darker pencil and is no use to anyone. Here's another awesome tutorial: 'Try drawing on paper!' Or how about 'Use the graphite end, not the eraser end of the pencil to draw!"

This is just an example of one talentless moron putting something online so other talentless morons can pretend to like it and have one great big circle-jerk about how awesome they are.

I'm done with deviantart...it's 2% actual artwork and 98% pointless crap like this.

Why learn and grow as an artist when you can join a mutual appreciation society like deviantart.

Talentless? TALENTLESS? That's hilarious, speaking that you have no artwork in your own gallery. So you shouldn't be the one talking now.
Tutorials are a way of giving tips, you don't have to be great, and after trying something in a tutorial you build onto that and grow. So your 98% "pointless crap" actually is art, as it helps others learn and grow.
Real mature dude... Grow up and take the stick out of your ass

Thanks a lot for spoiling my day with your nasty comment

Firstly, this isn't inking. Inking requires INK.

Secondly, inking isn't just tracing your drawing.

Thirdly, your drawing looks like an 8 year old girl in her underwear.

This so called tutorial is totally worthless...but at least it applies to the rest of the anime-obsessed chibi-drawing crowd.

its a good tutorial for pencilling. so ok its not inking. The rest of your comments are just flame... and totally worthless!

Do people talk about your images in such a rude way?
Grow up!

Which brand of pencils do you use? =/

I have the entire Derwent Soft Set, so it's very annoying because I only have 2H and 9H of the hard set >__< Especially as 3-4H are my favoured sketching pencils.

Quite a nice tutorial =3 An interesting technique, I usually just sketched a quick blob-and-square sketch with a 2H and then go over it with a B mech. pencil, then squoosh a kneadable eraser over it to lighten the lines and ink, unless I'm digitally inking. Anyhoo, thankyou for taking time to make this ^__^

I use "Faber-Castell" they're the best.
you can also use "Bruynzeel" they have lighter pencils ^^
And I'm glad you find it handy ^^
