Aggghhh T____T;; I'm so, SO sorry it took so long to upload this, Momz. Stupid technology
Well.. I finally got the semi-decent version on here T.T;;; My cousin's camera really sucked and that was the only way I could finally get Kat-Kat's drawling on here >.O; Aaagghh.. the camera totally killed all the colors though x.x;; I had to do a shit load of PS editing to get it this half-assed.. Gaahhhhh T.T;;; I ish not worthy!!! I'm SO SORRY if I butchered her ;____;" Gaaahhh.. ::totally butchered Raika:: ._______.;; Sorry.. again...Anywho, thish ish for thee mosht closhest, dearesht friend I've ever had via online ;_____;! My Momma Catz >w I've known her for likez more than 4 yearsh nowz and she hash alwaysh been there for meehz ;______;! I reposted a nicer version of the piccy XD;; The colors are a lot smoother and not so grainy from before. I also changed her "swirly vortexy ball of light thingy" she was holding XD; (I meant to put that in the original but stupid me got too carried away with the texture line thingiez that surround her and by the time I noticed it was too late so yeah
). Anyways I don't feel so bad about butchering her now.. but she still could be a whole lot nicer

Agh.. nu XD I tried to edit the pinky but it's just no use XP it looks really thick compared to all her other fingers I think and.. shhh.. dun tell anyone this but...

I wonder of it's just a different name for them in canada. I used to use Prismacolour pencil crayons or coloured pencils all the time. All my early mecha works used pencil crayons. I still actually quite new to this whole digital process

lol.. yeh I think the names we call them by might be different. This was my first use of Prismacolor pencil crayon thingies actually. They work marvelously.. I love their rich blending colors.. T.T; But the camera killed it.. grrr...
Wow I didn't think pencil crayons (I kinda like the sound of pencil crayons better than colored pencils now actually lol) could be used to color mecha o.o; I thought those things were strictly CG to get the special effects of gradient and such needed. But I guess you're a better expert than I am

I've been CGing for about 2 years now I think. I've probably done it longer but I've only really focuesed on it for the last two. My first CG mech probably took about 60+ colouring hours due to my not knowing what I was doing (I learned later about this wonderful thing called layers!). Before then, I used prismacolors because of how well they blended. I recomend testing before a project thought. Some prismacolours didn't want to blend so I had to figure out which ones did. I would also colour rerally hard so working on a pad was out. I would use a really hard surface like a drafting desk to make sure I didn't indent the paper. lastly, I would use a micron pen to bring bach the outline and crispness in various areas. Crapp, this message became a lot longer than I intended : )

Omg.. yeah I haded those days where it'd take 100+ hours just to do a CG piece since we were ignorant XD I didn't know about the pen tool back then so I spent half of my life tryna do lineart with a mouse

Pen tool? I do all my art with a mouse still : P It's exhausting at times. Yup I tend to do a sketch and ink parts of it then colour it and finally re-ink most of it.
