Ehm.. I'd have liked to finish it for good, but I've spent way too much time on this piece of paper and I'm quite sick of it.. It's messy, it's incomplete, and so it will be forever.I don't even know if it means something, as usual I started drawing an eye and then the rest happened.
Once the tree was made I got stuck for a few weeks, I didn't know how to continue it, what I should make under the tree..
This question obsessed me. What's under the tree? What's under the tree?
Every night in my bed I tried to think about it hoping that maybe I could dream what the hell there should to be under the damn tree!
Untill a day which, sick of waiting, I grabbed the pencil and just drew something.
Only after I drew the boy I realized that he could be Me, looking at the empty space under the tree, obsessed to it, trying to figure it out what's under there.
Under the tree I drew my obsession about what there should be under the tree.
Subconscious?

This is a beautiful piece of art. I do not at all think that it had turned out messy nor incomplete at all whatsoever. I have just read your description and I must say, it sounds to be quite poetic. I don't mean to sound as though I am just merely complimenting you, I honestly mean that this is quiet impressive and nicely done, and I mean this from a respectable point of view.

So what belongs... under the tree? Β Maybe there are more trees... The "messy" background forms one just over the boys head... and I see some trees near the trunk of the subject but in the distance... and rolling hills or plains... and it's raining. Β no bananas though... Beautiful piece.

Dude, you probably have an x-ray view. The background is so messy because before the boy I tried to sketch a lots of other things, including some few far trees.. I can't see it anymore and I don't understand how you can, but there really were, I've just deleted them!
Anyway is a nice and peaceful scenary what you suggested, and the rain also made it kinda poetic..
