Description
Ok, there is no particular reason for this, it's just an exercise inspired by the pose of the model in this photo (see the link below), when I saw her I just thought "this should be a good pose for some dangerous creature", and here we are!Painted in photoshop cs6 with bamboo wacom tablet, as usual I used always the same brush for everything.
Oh, I almost forget, the tiny guy under the creature is a picture of me, it's not part of the painting, just a reference for the dimension of the creature!
I hope you like it, and I'm sorry for the small sizes of the image.

I agree with this reminds me heavily of a Xenomorph, but mixed in with a Dragon. The imposing size of a Dragon, along with those Xeno-style spine(things) on her back (Possible lacking of eyes) if she breaths fire and/or acid... well a Dragon and a Xeno got kinky XD
Xeno/Dragon breeding aside, this is an excellent piece!

Haha yeah, but again, I don't really know what I did here. I guess this creature is just a mix up of influences. It looks like a xenomorph mainly because of the human anatomy plus tail and elongated head, which is basicly the same structure of a Xenomorph. But this one is more reptilian, more organic, Giger's style is very biomechanic. That's why it looks also like a dragon, it's made by scales and claws and not by tubes and metallic parts.. I don't know what it breaths though, perhaps candy

Not really. I actually don't know what kind of creature it could be, just a random creature, but yes, it have something that remind the xenomorphs. Something alien .

Stunning use of tone! I love the muscle definition and scale work you have going on there, and that blur effect on the tail is a really nice touch!

Thanks!! Other people make comments about the details, you are the first that mention the light, I would say that all the details are just made by lights and shadows. The shading is the most important part of every picture, at least is what I think
