I knew I saw this character from somewhere..I think when someone decided to just explode bumblebee with a hella lot of babies. I don't remember clearly enough though. Right now it's just a canon fodder character 
Besides that I think he's a rather cute looking character, he doesn't seem like a bad guy and I like his helm design despite it being Shockwave related. You seem to want to improve him so I'd be happy to give some pointers if you need them?

Thank you! I told some friends and they say there's nothing wrong with him. As for the canon attachment, I kind of just wanted to them as background really. I have someone already pointing out flats on a script I'm working for story focus on only him. Since I want the attachments to make sense, and not the "it happen just because!"
Most of the oc related to canon I've seen has no proper development in either the oc or story. Reason why I want to improve more.
I know what you mean with the Bumblebee had babies thing, mostly recolors if you ask me. Unless there's a solid story behind it which sadly it's never. Don't get me started with the Sari clones.

Well this picture wasn't drawn by me, a friend drew it for me, I just colored it. I have sketches of his redesign right now. I will post them tomorrow because I want critique on them too, and if I should make changes or not.

Well there's nothing wrong with OCs looking up to canons as role models, I mean they still have an impact on our OCs lives but they're just not a major part of it. You can easily say that Rapid used to look up to or idolize Shockwave but then had a change of spark when he had seen him in action or something.
I do not for the life of me get why there's no many Bumblebee sisters, mates or recolors. Seriously, Bumblebee is not. that. impressive.
As for the profile, I spotted some spelling mistakes here and there, and after the colons, I think there needs to be spacing. It's just nitpicking but it'll give the profile a neater appearance.

Well I'd like to see those sketches before I make any opinions appearance wise. Right now, I can say he looks way too much like Bumblebee's offspring after an unwanted one night stand with TFA Shockwave.

See, Rapid wasn't going to be Shockwave's brother. By the time I began his creation there weren't as many ocs as there were today, and there weren't a lot of oc related to canon. So I was like why not? But then BAM! It's like they migrated or something, and I see them everywhere!
Yeah, I'm guilty of doing that myself. But I was doing it just as a random story I wanted to do, the plot bunny would not leave me alone. :/ But I kind of left it since a lot of people would only give praise comments and no actually feedback/critique pointing out flats and mistakes. One of my friends took interest in it and ask me if she could continue it, I told her to go ahead and knock herself out.

One it's a friend here on DA and the other it's my co-worker, who major on English and likes to correct my grammar when I'm blogging reviews for work.

Yeah it's like when I first created Nightfly because there weren't that many chopper femmes around and now there's more of them.
Most friends wouldn't tell you there's something wrong but I don't know who your friends are so I can't say.
I'm glad you like the profile format xD it doesn't have to be exactly that way, but you can use it for your profile revamp if you like.

It's mostly because some people today look for 'inspiration'. But instead end up "Oh that's cool! I should do that too! :'D " and not take the time to develop their own ideas -__-
I guess they think I'm sensitive, I don't even get mad at all. And I surely won't get mad if they point out mistakes or flats in something.
Thank you, I will. Hopefully I can squeeze it in my schedule to work on it. Little by little, I'm going to take my time and work on it slowly.
