Description *POSSIBLE DRAGONBORN DLC SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T PLAYED IT YET* — because the last time I put something up I revealed a spoiler for someone.

I think Archer feels awkward about being an Argonian on an island whose residents' ancestors were driven out from their ancestral homeland by his kind. I sure hope these Dunmer are friendly.

I kinda liked the style of short comics I did when I first started doing my comic series, so I decided to bring it back!

Well, it's a good thing Argonians are used to being downtrodden throughout history!

OH MY GOOOOD, YOU'VE ALREADY COME UP WITH THIS COMIC. Apologies to you Ed, and well done. Well....the gender confusion comic I mentioned before is still there, if you want to do it. It's just an idea, but you've talked about Archer's parents being a Breton and a Nord, and I've honestly wanted to know what they looked like. I figured you would like the idea of the two trying to figure out whether Archer was born a boy or girl....imagine the arguments and awkwardness on that. Yeah.....just trying to make up for the Dunmer idea.....hope you post again for either your story or comics soon.

Hey, no worries! And actually, I've had a few ideas floating around for a comic featuring Archer's adoptive parents. We'll see which one I get around to developing.

I'll be updating the story before the comics, but even then, the next chapter won't be up for some time. I don't have as much spare time to write at the moment, especially with my next exams lurking around the corner. I haven't forgotten, though!

This is wonderful news, I look forward to the next chapter in your epic tale marsh friend. Good luck on your exams, I'm sure you'll slay them as easily as you slay dragons. XD But seriously good luck to you.

Perfectly captured the potential awkwardness race can bring which the developers don't always consider. I always wondered how the Nords felt about my Altmer Dragonborn. I found this hilarious also because I'm finding my character's race and ignorance of history is making my first Dragonborn playthrough really awkward as well. She's a Dunmer. How is this awkward? I get off the docks, Adril comes to talk to me, I ask about Blacklight and he goes: "How can you have Dunmer blood in your veins and not know about the capital city of Morrowind?!" Then I go talk to Morvayn and he ends our conversation by saying how sad it was I knew so little about my own history and I'm allowed to go visit his library and read all his books.

The Dragonborn must've slacked off quite a bit in history class.

Dunmer just jealous that when the oblivion gates opened, Dagon's generals had to close the gates in black marsh and not morrowind.

Yeah, I heard about that. Those Argonians sure do defend their homeland pretty fiercely.

Caaros In reply to HelloMyNameIsEd [2013-08-29 21:04:04 +0000 UTC]

Yep. Did you know Black marsh is not officialy part of the empire? also the marsh is so trecherous that no non-argonians have actually made it to the center of the marsh?

That was exactly how I felt when I entered Solstheim as an Argonian. 'Um, well, this is kind of awkward...'
This is hilarious! I'm now going to go take a look at the rest of your Skyrim comics! They look awesome!

In the argonians' defense, the dunmer DID enslave them for centuries.

Not all dunmer enslaved Argonians, and not all dunmer had slaves. I'm pretty sure these guys have let it go by now.

I don't think they Dunmer would want to bring that up.

That is, if they don't turn out to be friendly. I'm sure these Dunmer aren't as hostile to Argonians as others.

Are there any races that hate Redguards? Justin should brace himself in advance.

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

Nayrael In reply to Nazaru [2013-03-06 18:44:44 +0000 UTC]

Orcs hate them: Bretons and Redguards constantly attempt to commit genocide over them, last one happening just after the 4th Era started... but thankfully Orcs got saved by the Empire and lead to safety.

Also, Redguards hate one another: they are divided into Crowns and Forebears, both sides passionately hating one another since before they came to Tamriel.

HelloMyNameIsEd In reply to Nazaru [2013-03-04 02:54:02 +0000 UTC]

Besides the nativist Nords of Skyrim, who don't trust anybody not a native Nord, I'd say Redguards are just fine.

Nazaru In reply to HelloMyNameIsEd [2013-03-04 03:02:18 +0000 UTC]

Seems like Redguards get all the breaks. They're the most talented warriors in Tamriel, they have nobody that holds any personal grudge. Go figure.

I think both Khajiits and Argonians get a bad rep for being thieves.

ElwisFromPoland [2013-03-04 00:10:52 +0000 UTC]

So on Raven Rock live many Dunmers, who are like their ancestors from 2nd era, and hate Argonians and possibly Khajiits?
Damn, sucks to be you, Archer.

Silnroz In reply to ElwisFromPoland [2013-03-04 02:38:53 +0000 UTC]

Ancestors? Assuming you actually meant the third era it's only been 200 years. were it not for the red year the majority of the dunmer would consider 200 years old young. Not to mention the Argonians sacked most of southern Morrowind including Mournhold. They still harass towns all the way up to Solstheim.

ElwisFromPoland In reply to Silnroz [2013-03-04 13:08:14 +0000 UTC]

Even then. There are dunmer alive from the Merethic Era. over 3000 years before skyrim.

HelloMyNameIsEd In reply to ElwisFromPoland [2013-03-04 00:34:16 +0000 UTC]

I think that they've partly let go on the hatred on Argonians by the 4th Era, but I think that there might still be a bit of bad blood between Dunmer and Argonians in general.

plus the fact that Archer supports the Empire would make it even worse

HelloMyNameIsEd In reply to Garchompisbeast [2013-03-03 20:48:13 +0000 UTC]

I don't see how Archer supporting the Empire has to do with the Dunmer.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Garchompisbeast In reply to HelloMyNameIsEd [2013-03-03 21:54:05 +0000 UTC]

because the Empire abandoned Morrowind during the Oblivion crisis, without the Empire's help the Dunmer suffered extremely heavy losses and then when the Empire refused to aid them during the Argonian invasion it was the final straw

OniVrask In reply to Garchompisbeast [2013-04-15 22:20:15 +0000 UTC]
