Description I'm proud to introduce Razar Selden, Elven Rogue, the character I used in my first Dungeons & Dragons campaign. Ofcourse I had heard of it before, but I was never able to participate in a campaign, until recently.

And, yes, 'used'. Razar Selden unfortunately died after plummiting about 150 feet down. The rocky ground was very hard indeed and the experience killed him.

Ah, well, he was quite fun while he lasted. If anyone is interested, ask me about the time he needed a crowbar...

Drawing by Coen de Moor, coloring, plus 'wallpaperisation' by me. Permission granted by the former to the latter for displaying, coloring and altering the work.

What on earth was the crowbar needed for?

Ah, a funny story, that. But then again, I already hinted at that

Where to start....Ah, yes. He and his party were busy exploring a very large and very old tomb. At one point, they came across an old coffin, of which the lid wouln't budge. Figuring a crowbar could ease the job of removing the lid, Razar hiked back to the nearest village to get one.

Being a rogue and someone who acted on whims, he decided to steal a crowbar from the village blacksmith. First, he tried the backdoor, which he unlocked without much problems. It appeared to be the kitchen. Unfortunatly, it also appeared to contain a guard dog. Softly closing the door, he went to the front door, unlocked it, saw there was a crowbar, took it, and got back to the party.

There, he found out the party had already found a crowbar in the tomb's debris...

All that trouble for nothing. But the story doesn't end there. You see, the guard dog, haven awoken, walked out of the back door (which Razar had forgoten to relock), sniffed around and got Razar's scent.

So, at one point, the party was disturbed by a very large and angry guard dog. Which promptly attacked Razar. The dog, being strong, even managed to drag Razar away. At which point a druid, a big animal friend, decided to give the dog a whack with his quarterstaff, to correct it and scare it off. This worked. Very well. As in, the druid nearly killed the dog...The dog indeed was scared off and ran away.

But the story still doesn't end there. At one point, the party was again disturbed by the guard dog. Only this time, the dog was trailed by the black smith and a few townguards...After talking back and forth between the party and them, Razar sighed and gave himself up, coming out of the hiding place he had been in. After that, he was dragged to the townhall, where he was judged and imprisoned. Luckily for him, he was bought free. Before he got to know that, he was lead before the sheriff who scared him a great deal by very nearly missing his right hand with a very big axe. The sheriff told Razar he was free to go, but was no longer welcome in the town.

And the story still hasn't ended.

There was a great deal of adventuring, but at one point, the party returned to town. Razar, being impulsive but not stupid, stayed at the edge of the town, just waiting beneath a tree. The rest of the party went to the sheriff, to tell about what they had found in the tomb, such was the party's quest. The sheriff asked about a lot of things, even Razar. When she (the sheriff was female) heared he was just outside town, she dispatched a guard to have him kept under surveilance.

Razar was surprised and intrigued by the guard. After asking if the guard would really, really, really keep him under surveilance at all times, Razar and the guard played a little game. Razar would move, the guard would follow. The guard even followed him to the entrance to the tomb, which Razar entered. There, the guard didn't follow.

There, Razar heared the guard scream and fight for his live. Razar hadn't mentioned to the guard that the party had fought and scared off a different beast there, a beast which made a meal out of the guard. Once it was silent, Razar krept out of the tomb and looted the guard for what the guard was worth.

Off to the final stretch of the story.

Razar, being who he was, felt sorry for the guard and went back to town. There, he found another guard and led him to his dead buddy. Explaining the situation, Razar waited and the other guard was off to fetch the sheriff. The sheriff arrived, verified Razar's story with the help of a cleric, who could talk to the dead, and spoke to Razar thusly: "Thanks for telling us this. But you still can't enter town."

And that was what happend, all because Razar the rogue decided to steal a crowbar.

he is a palidan with very heavy armor and a lance that looks fit for someone on horse back rather than the ground sadly to say his sneak skill is comprimised.

oh ya hey isn't exactly the best companion to go with on missions with high level monsters that most players are scared of and sneak past but his strength is way way up it's like a 45 (because he is a half beast and his armor has a magic effect as well as his Lance) the same can be said of his armor points as well they are pretty good.

the lance was just an amazing pickup I love the dungeon master that put that in the loot box for that particular quest.

That's always a plus I'm feeling the same for my Warforged; he uses little equipment, so, not hard to equip Everyone else can fight about the loot we find, most of the time

exactly my point. I have him just the way I want to keep him I even had a friend of mine make a little minifig of him it's not the most detailed thing in the world but it gave my friend somthing to get motivatd on.

Motivation, that's a good thing. It's rather unfortunate, but it seems motivation in my group is low; it's been 'a while' since I last played
