Description
Vyrenberg is not the northernmost outpost but still gets very nasty winters. When the roads are impassable, everyone is cooped up in the castle constantly. So when the snow melts and the mud dries up a bit, people are so eager to get out that they can't be bothered to worry about monsters or bandits. During the summer months, the team is almost always on the move, armored and dedicated to a mission that might take them many miles through the woods; at this particular moment however, Rufus and Kari didn't even bother to tack up or bring weapons, let alone wait for assignment. A gallop on the main road was a welcome respite for both riders and horses. Opportunities to goof off and waste time just for fun are rare, so they make the most of it when they get the chance. Soon it'll be back to long treks, heavy work, and dangerous battles.

At some point I'll write and draw more cohesive story stuff for this lot, I've kinda devoted more thought to world-building and not much to any actual plot (plenty of random scenarios, no real beginning-middle-end storyline). So what I do draw risks mostly being random out-of-context stuff like this. But we'll see. I think most people know just how slow I am at completing any storylines or working out my ideas, so keep your expectations very veeery low xD

Speaking of being slow, this sketch was like a year and a half old. I always kinda liked it, Echo in particular, so I sat down and powered through it to clear it out of my WIP list. Humans because even though I don't like people seeing their sadness, I definitely won't ever improve if I ignore them, so drawing them anyway. Practice practice practice. Went a bit fast and loose with the coloring and background, more contoured and crisp than I usually do, just doodled around and didn't worry about the result. Tis nice to play and not fret. Scanner is being weird though, wants to make everything yellow and half the drawing gets oversaturated and the other half gets washed out <.<
