Does anyone here have any idea if you can color replace/color shift/whatever you wanna call it in Cloverpaint? I've been playing around with it for a few hours now and haven't been able to find anything like that.

Can anyone tell me how to move the Main Menu itself? I'd like to take it from the bottom and move it to the left side of the interface, but it seems to be the only dialog that doesn't have any drag and drop facility and I can't find any setting to toggle one.

Thanks, folks.

this is awesome! do you suggest that i get this app for my galaxy note 2 phone? or is it cluttered for such a small screen? If not, do you know of any other apps that might work well on my phone?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hemiolan In reply to Koogleblitz [2015-03-11 20:52:28 +0000 UTC]

Totally. For 8 bucks there are hardly any apps that come close. If you find the UI too crowded, you can always resize them ("UI Scale" in Settings -> Option), hiding the panels, and/or toggle between full screen and default mode ("Select view modes" in Settings -> KeyConf.).

Words of advice though. (1) Clover Paint can be intimidating to mobile users. The app is powerful and it's recommended to spend some time to learn it. Ones who have some experience with desktop software like Photoshop, SAI, Manga Studio etc can catch up in minutes. Meanwhile hobbyists may find it overwhelmed. In this case, Sketchbook Pro/Mobile or ArtFlow is more suitable. (2) The app is pretty Engrishy, you may find it hard to understand the description under each setting.

Hi, there are not many that I know of. Graphite451 in the previous comments provided one. If you haven't got default brush set ready for some reason, re-import it here www.cloverpaint.net/images/bui…

THANK YOU. one of my biggest pet peeves about this app is the interface so this is a godsend. Also, I tried adding in a new layer to this, but I don't know with the updates that this option was taken away or what. :/

Have you tried long pressing on a layer in the Layer pane? It will bring more options, including Add+ i.e. adding new layer

I just use the Layer window to add layers.  Make the Layer window visible (View:Window:Tool:Layer), and near the bottom of the window, click the icon on the left that looks like a layer with a little + sign next to it.

Has anyone made a Group for Clover Paint, or is this the best place to ask CP questions?

I accidentally deleted 1 of my brushes (Blur Hard), but when I try to import from CP's brushes file (that I got off their website), CP crashes every time.  I'm using a brand-new Samsung Galaxy Tab S.

Is there some other way I can get Blur Hard back?  Are there simple brush changes to Blur that I could make to re-create Blur Hard?

Re-arranging clovers in the clover window is implemented in a truly terrible, clumsy, error-prone way.  With no safeguards, warnings, or undo if you overwrite a brush.  They should really fix that.  Heck, why should we ever be allowed to accidentally overwrite a brush?  Why not force us to explicitly delete the clover first?  It's not like we're making new clovers and re-arranging them several times per minute, 24 hours per day.  The process could be made slower and less error-prone.  And give us another clover window.  I want more free slots without deleting brushes that, apparently, can never be re-imported.

Hi, I supposed you've recently sent your queries on FB? There is also a thread on tabletpcreview.com and conceptart.org
forum.tabletpcreview.com/threa…
www.conceptart.org/forums/show…

As for the issue with re-arranging clovers, I highly recommend sending an email to the dev at cloverpaint@gmail.com. Keep it in simple English, with bullet points and concise though. The dev can only understand English to a limited extend. There has been number of occasions he misunderstood my points in our convos.

Btw I'll send you hard blur brush when I get my hand on my tab. Brush import function was fine. However there was some unknown problem when loading the CBSv2 image file directly into Clover Paint. I had to save the image as a .psd file on my PC before importing it.

jasondf2 In reply to hemiolan [2015-01-19 17:56:39 +0000 UTC]

Thanks, I've seen those 2 threads.  Although they seem a little under-active, and, of course, it's 1 thread for many topics.  This has been looking like an interesting, somewhat active place to talk:
androidartists.boards.net/boar…
Maybe add that URL to your guide?

I contacted the dev via FB.  I know his English is bad.  He didn't care about the bug, and he thought no one would want any of the changes I suggested except me (optional extra warning before deletion, or optional disabling of overwrite, or a brush delete undo, or extra clover windows, or an uneditable window of all original brushes, or drag/drop instead of clumsy copy/cut/insert/overwrite).  I'm developing a pretty poor opinion of the developer.

Have you seen this brush import crashing bug too?

I tried taking the CBSv2 .png, cropping it down until it's just Blur Hard, converting that to .psd, and importing...still crashed.  Maybe your exported .psd will work better?  So frustrating and annoying.  I shouldn't even have to be dealing with this bug but for the poor design of the interface.

well I've been experimenting with clover paint but I can't find a way to save brush presets is there a way

hemiolan In reply to tjohn9999 [2015-01-07 16:39:12 +0000 UTC]

Hi. First long press on the clover of the brush whose preset you want to save, then click "Settings". Now tick all "Save and Set [...]" options or only the ones you wish. If all are ticked, color and opacity are also saved.

Did you do line art? Have you tried drawing with "Handshake correction" enabled? It's really a pity that brushes won't go higher than 200px though.

How to turn of the size shifting when you draw over the border? (Sorry for bad English)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hemiolan In reply to electrickfox [2014-06-17 12:05:30 +0000 UTC]

I suppose you want the canvas to stop expanding as you draw? If it's the case: Tools -> Image, then Image -> Setting -> Bound -> Fixed.. and specify the canvas size (in pixels, eg: 1900 x 1200).
