On my way to work, I messed with my phone checking my calendar, and incidently it took a photo of yours truly. ..Like the casual impression..Watercolor, W&N, Hahnenmuhle paper. Nov. 2018.

Thanx, Caroline..It was, it was. Sort of capture the “auto pilot” mood I’m in on my way to work one early grey november day..

Thank you, Walter.. in fact, don’t consider myself as an artist - not even sure what it means to be an artist, but it certainly seems to be a rather presumptious denomination..I paint because I think it’ s fun, and I kind of like to be absorbed in the process - that’s all..

Thank you, Dominik! It was indeed a lucky punch. Must admit I cheated a bit - I don’t smoke - added the fag in order to give a little more edge to the portrait..Also, since it was an overcast day, the colors are so muted - Thought the little orange glow of the cigarette would look good among all the mellow values..
