After seeing Tangled, I felt the need to experiment with a more "disney-ish" style, and who better to experiment on than Benjamin? ...and Saul. This is kind of a rough idea of the first time these two meet, and Saul does NOT like Benjamin. Mostly because Saul has a huge crush on Sara, who likes Benjamin, whom the feeling is quite mutual to her.

“WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?”
My heart sunk as I recognized the voice. Leave it to Saul to walk in completely unannounced when nobodies home. …And discover the Jew we’re hiding in the attic. Right.
“I can explain-” Benjamin stammered, but was cut off by the sound of a fist meeting a nose. “Jesus, Mary and Joseph! What the hell?!-” I heard him snarl.
I rushed up the stairs, dropping the mail and picking up the pace as the sounds of fighting ensued. What I walked into was somewhat… weird, yet not surprising. Weird things seemed to happen to me a lot more often as of late. “What in God’s name are you DOING?!” I screamed, and they froze. This is what I saw:
Saul had Benjamin in a headlock, and Benjamin was in the midst of elbowing Saul in the gut and kicking him in the groin. Benjamin’s nose was somewhat crooked now and dripped blood and a toothbrush still hanging out of his mouth. Saul’s eye was already beginning to darken and swell to an impressive shade of mauve and there were tears in his eyes from the pain of his now-bruised crotch. Now they simply stared at me, eyes wide and bodies completely, almost impossibly motionless.
As soon as I think things are starting to become somewhat normal and then this happens, I think to myself, putting my hands on my hips. “Please grace me with an explanation as to why you two idiots are wrestling in my hallway and why you,” I pointed at Saul, “are in my house.”
Saul let Benjamin go, who flopped rather ungracefully onto the carpet and made no effort to get back up. “Why the hell are you asking me? And who is this?”
I sunk my face in my palm. Crucified Christ, this was about to make my top five worst days. “He’s a friend.”
My best friend struggled to his feet, wincing with discomfort. “A friend brushing his teeth in your bathroom? Sure, I believe it.”
Benjamin grunted something incoherent into the carpet, but I ignored him for now. “It’s complicated.”
“By all means, don’t tell me why there’s a mysterious kid in your house.”
“For Christ’s sake, Saul, you’re impossible. He’s a Jew, okay? There, I said it.”
Saul’s eyes widened and he looked back at the pile of tawny hair and olive skin collapsed on the runner. “What?
“You heard me. He’s a family friend and we’re hiding him.”
“In your bathroom?”
“Jesus, Mary and- of course not! How stupid are you? He’s staying in our attic until the war’s over.”
The wiry boy stared dumbly at Benjamin, then back up at me. “Do you realize what you’re doing?”
I snatched off his cap and smacked him with it. “Of course I know! Now you can’t tell anyone. ANYONE. If you do, I’m dead, my family’s dead, and he’s dead.”
“I wouldn’t mind the latter-” Saul muttered, and I hit him with it again
“Don’t be smart with me, Eberstark. Now promise me.”
“Yes, mother.”
I whacked him one more time upside the head and threw the cap at him. “Promise!”
“Okay, okay, okay! Don’t get your panties in a knot-”
I kicked him in the shin and he quickly hopped out of range before putting his cap back on his ruffled curly head. “I promise, alright? I promise.”
Benjamin pushed himself into a sitting position, crossing his eyes as he attempted to re-straighten his lopsided nose. “Knock my nose off, will you?” He grumbled. His nose made a snapping noise and he grunted. I helped him up and felt the need to stand between them as they glared each other down. It was as if I could feel the hate energy in the air. I guessed this was how it had felt for him when I abhorred him during the first few weeks of our relationship, but then again, the feeling had not been mutual on his part; annoyance, yes, but not loathing. But these two… I shuddered.
“See? It was just a little misunderstanding; water under the bridge, right?” I asked. "Saul, this is Benjamin. Benjamin, this is Saul."
Benjamin sourly wiped the blood off his lip with his sleeve and Saul fingered the angry purple skin around his right eye with disdain.
“Now both of you apologize to each other,” I ordered.
Saul scowled. “I’ll apologize as soon as he says he’s sorry for kicking me in the crotch and giving me a shiner.”
Benjamin crossed his arms across his chest sullenly. “Not before you apologize for breaking my nose in half. Anyway, you hit me first.”
“Only because I thought you were a burglar!”
“Do burglars brush their teeth before they split?”
“How am I supposed to know?”
“It’s common sense, for Gawd’s sake!”
“Are you calling me stupid? Well you’re a-”
“SHUT UP!”
They shut up but continued glowering, but even that stopped as I shot them both with a glare-beam of my own. “Will you guys just quit it? You two are acting like five-year olds!”
They were quiet for a moment, until Benjamin cleared his throat and muttered, “He started it.”
I took off Saul’s cap again and hit Benjamin with it before Saul could respond, then tossed it back to its owner. Saul dusted it off mutinously. “Come on! If you’re going to hit him, use someone else’s hat!”
I fired my scowl laser at him again, and he closed his mouth. “Now I realize that you two started off on the wrong foot, but lets put this all behind us and start over fresh,” I said, setting a hand on each of their shoulders and bringing them closer, though they cringed away, as if they were two opposite sides of a magnate.
Boys. They were impossible.
