Description
This is the second painting in a series of hopefully 3 with the same appearance and dimensions. I want to make a series that looks nice together, perhaps hanging on a wall. The first in the series is Equilibrium: [link]This painting took me more time as usual because I’ve been very busy lately working on other projects. Unfortunately this one didn’t turn as I planned, but here it is anyways
Painted on and off during a peroide over 5 weeks (6 evenings all in all I guess) using Photoshop with a Wacom tablet. Reference used for the girl and the folds.
Painted march 2006.

The eyes worry me a little, the way they are harsh and stare right at you... but otherwise I really like it.

this goes well with the series, the column style is definitely what i'd expect with order, and her expression and thing shes doing with her hands definitely goes with it. So you said this didnt turn out quite how you planned? what changed? well other than the collar it looks like she was going to have in the step by step

Very fine follow-on to Equilibrium . I like the contast between the soft folds and the hard edges of the cube. The light in her eyes suggests the inner power and stability that holds all else in order.

The unusual dimensions really add alot to the picture. Would look amazing hanging on a wall i think, especially as a set of three.
