I’ve always been really fond of narrow standing formats, and this painting will hopefully be the first in a series of 2 or 3 with the same appearance and dimensions. I want to make a series that looks nice together, perhaps hanging on a wall.This painting took me quite some time, and the high resolution almost made my gimpy HP lap-top melt. Painted from scratch in 4-6 evenings using Photoshop with a Wacom tablet. Reference used for the girl and the folds.
Original size is 2500 x 8448 pixels.

Wonderful I love the narrow style myself it seems to make the seen have a defined focus, on the subject depicted.
The coloring in the shadowed areas is beautiful not to downplay the whole image being phenomenal.

I opened a second dA account so I could fav images that don't fit in my "work safe" *pearwood account.
When I thought of your gallery, this was the first image that came to mind.
I wonder whether Galdriel might have ended up so beautiful, cold and deadly had she accepted the ring.

I shoot my own reference pictures that I look at while painting. Then I can control lights, angles, everything.

I really love your art, and hope to use you tips in my own digital work.
I tend to over blur my paintings with the air brush tool as well so I hope to get out of that.

Imagine Fx came out just at the right time for me, at the urging of my girlfriend i bought a graphic tablet right after i bought the first copy.
