Obelix is about to add a few nice helmets to his collection!My scanner isn't really working, sorry for the crappy picture.
This is my lame attempt at imitating Uderzo... However I don't really like the result (especially the faces), I quite like it for a first try. My inking also got a lot better lately. I need to practise more!
I colored it with acrylic paint and inked it with indian ink and a brush.
Astérix, Obélix & Idéfix were created by the great great Goscinny and Uderzo.

Honestly if you can tell Asterix stories too, I would prefer you instead of the 33rd album Uderzo made with the charecters.

That's weird, in english Idéfix is called Dogmatix. Or something like that.

There's a book called Asterix and Friends (I think, we only have it in French which is bad because we can't speak French

A curiosity, if you didn't already know it, since you mentioned some phrase for Obelix in the sketch version. In the Italian translation Obelix's catchphrase about Romans is 'Sono Pazzi Questi Romani' (means 'these romans are crazy' ), which is an acrostic of SPQR (originally 'senatus populusque romanus' ) :3

Hey, I didn't know that! I know SPQR ofcourse, but not that Italian sentence... It is said that the Dutch translation is the best version... I don't know all the others, though. It's funnier than the English one, that's a literal translation but it just doesn't sound funny. What he sais in Dutch, "Rare jongens, die Romeinen", means something like "Weird guys, those Romans", but once again that's just lame in English. I especially love the part in er... (Dutch title) 'de odyssee van Asterix, where they meet all those tribes at war. "Excuse me, we're Medeneans (word?), and we are looking for directions..." "Easy, just FOLLOW THE ARROWS!" "Those Medeneans are cr..." "I'M GETTING CRAZY OF YOU AND YOUR CRAZY!!" "That Asterix is crazy" XD
