Description When I think of lighthouses I always picture something tall and slender, with a bright beam of light scouring the waves...

Sadly, round here we have the other sort. Short, squat buildings with what appears to be a 40 watt bulb in them.

Taken about 20 minutes before sunrise.

How random, is that batemans tower?! Looks like a great place to shoot, only had a few hours there when I was in brightlingsea a few months ago!

It is indeed, well recognised

It's got one hell of a lean to it - thought it was lens distortion until I walked past it & saw that yup, it really is at that angle!
