  As of writing this, this is the latest Disney TVA show. Meaning I have now watched every cartoon produced by Disney Television Animation and in a way this cartoon is actually quite fitting to end off this journey. It represents what modern Disney has become. What I mean by that is that this is ANOTHER Disney cartoon that’s serialized but also very episodic in its first season and has a brown skinned female protagonist with a nonhuman sidekick. Oh and it involves portals from another dimension. Does this ring a bell to anyone? Amphibia and Owl House perhaps?

  The general premise is that Hailey created a list of things to do, most likely not actually going through with it because she’s not confident enough. But it turns out that she actually has to go do all of it in order to save the world (and for some odd reason she adds more challenges to her list while doing these). There’s also a conflict with confessing her love to her best friend Scott. But in the first episode it started a love triangle, this was when I knew I wasn’t going to enjoy the rest of the series.

  This show has rapid pacing, it jumps right into it without giving us a real backstory, and it makes it hard for me to be engaged in its storytelling and characters. There will be arcs that barely last a few episodes, making no impact at all and just wasting my time. The love triangles were so useless and I have a feeling there will only be more if the show gets a second season. There is no major drama, the stories are shallow and boring. I hardly know anything about Hailey except that she doesn’t believe in herself much, yet somehow she manages to do a lot of the things on her list almost effortlessly. Her friend Scott is also annoying and unfunny. But really, the whole show is devoid of comedy except for Beta who’s the only character I genuinely like and laughed at jokes.

  Overall this show is WEAK. Honestly when I first heard about this show I was optimistic and wanted to like this show because I am a fan of most Disney TVA shows. But this just wasn’t it, I wouldn’t care that much that it's familiar to many disney cartoons because it's really all about the execution. But this show just goes by too fast while not providing depth to its characters. Also with there being no announcement on a season renewal which would normally come out a long time ago for Disney, its safe to say this show got cancelled. What a way to end it too, the will they won't they relationship kept going on and off the whole season and the season finale took a huge focus on that, only for it to end up with Hailey listening to that stupid app than her own list! Yeah, just ignore the whole evil robots destroying the world. Gonna be honest, there weren’t many episodes I outright hated when watching this series for the most part I just found it to be very bland and boring. But as a complete product it just wastes your time and is not an enjoyable experience at all. The show ended on a cliffhanger, and if season 2 does somehow happen it would be much worse than what we already have now, guaranteed.
