Description Did anyone else think that cupcake spike was given for his birthday looked absolutely delectable (despite it's lack of edibility for obvious reasons)? I imagine Pinkie having a hard time being in the same room as it before Spike picked it up.

Also, this took a LOOOOOOONG time. Hope it shows! Critique is gladly accepted, and encouraged if you have anything you want to say. Download it if you want to see her in a ridiculously large size because pressing your face against the screen as hard as you can just isn't enough.

I only use Paint Tool SAI, this took about 63 hours (I was very sick so that slowed me down a bit), and I've been drawing under a year now. What you see submitted on here is over half of what I've drawn. I have no idea how I managed to improve at such a phenomenal rate, but I have a few things not submitted that I've put TONS of time into. Practice and don't be afraid to look up tutorials and references and ask other artists for help.

Alright, thank you for that info, I personally use Photoshop for my artwork, and have never tried SAI before, and I've been seeing A LOT of it around lately, and lately, for some reason its been hard for me to get any good art out, I've just been doing a boat-load of sketches of random stuff on a single page of my sketchbook, all in pen (which i find is easier than pencil ), things ranging from a snake, to a dragon head using only straight lines, to Wilson from Don't Starve, to even something simple as a portal turret. And to top it all off, i have to have summerschool and I wont be able to skecth or draw anything :/

But anyways, I appreciate the feedback ^_^

Oh wow, I just had a crazy idea that someone with baking skills just has to try:
That sapphire cupcake... someone has to make it!
It must be possible somehow to make some sugary substance into crystals like that and then use blue food coloring for everything.

I've seen a picture of a Rainbow Dash cocktail using colored ice cubes, so that might work - an ice cream based cupcake with colored ice cubes in customized shape.

Hmm. Ice cubes in a cupcake? icky. Heating up pixie stick or any sugar of that type will turn it into a lollipop like substance, so I think that would be the best option for the crystals.You could actually match the color pretty well. But I wouldn't make the crystals too big, unless you value form over function, because then you'll just have a mouthful of lollipop with a bit of cake.
