Description Did anyone else think that cupcake spike was given for his birthday looked absolutely delectable (despite it's lack of edibility for obvious reasons)? I imagine Pinkie having a hard time being in the same room as it before Spike picked it up.

Also, this took a LOOOOOOONG time. Hope it shows! Critique is gladly accepted, and encouraged if you have anything you want to say. Download it if you want to see her in a ridiculously large size because pressing your face against the screen as hard as you can just isn't enough.

By the way I'm opening commissions real soon, so yay!

Oh yeah. Each line in the hair is done individually. You know how long it took to make each line perfectly spaced from each other at every part? If they aren't the hair looks broken and weird. I had to redo an area because I did it too fast and it was too messy. Oh, and this took me like 60 hours over the course of 5 days, but I was really sick (and I still kinda am), so it could have been shorter if I wasn't.

This was all done in SAI. No custom brushes and the only texture I used was for the cupcake frosting and cupcake...cake XD

Hmm...It can take anywhere from a day to a couple weeks to really get the hang of, since most tablet don't have displays and you have to look at the screen while you draw, but once you get the hang of it, it'll be like a second nature. Personally, I would recommend not buying the bamboo if you can afford an intuos4, because I hear the bamboo is good for very casual drawing and not too much beyond that. If you plan on drawing multiple hours a day, spend a couple extra hundred on a good tablet instead of a relatively cheap one.

Goodness no. The mouse has no pressure sensitivity or stability that pen strokes do. If someone drew anything near this quality with a mouse, they would ascend into Godhood.

This whole picture is amazing, but I really like how you did her mane! I always imagined it as kinda hair blobs; seeing it as thinner ribbons is awesome, and explains the lines in the show's style really well. Her eyes and that cupcake are really good too
