I'm sure anyone who has seen this movie will agree with me that one of the saddest scenes is when ellie dies. The relationship that was built in your head while you were watching it during the short montage will stay in your mind long after you leave the theater. I usually do some sort of Pixar Movie poster fan art, but this time I decided to do something different. Hope you like it!Quick Pencil sketch with Photoshop painted background.

The beginning scenes with Ellie always make me cry. I used to be just like her--wild, adventurous, optimistic. Some things happened and now I'm just a shell of what I used to be. I can't help but sob. All I want to do is be just like that again, but it's just so hard.

I bawled during the movie.. Not only the montage, but when Carl would look at the "Adventures I'm gonna have" page and feel like he didn't let her have her adventures. And then when she wrote "Thanks for the Adventure, now go have a new one!"?!

It was so depressing when Ellie died. But when they were kids... Oh it was so fricking adorable. The saddest part of the movie was definitely when he was looking through the book... ;__; Baw. I cried like a baby. And everyone else in the theater cried too.

I was fighting back tears the whole time I was watching the prologue. And everytime they brought Ellie up throughout the movie, I would start to cry again. It wasn't hard to figure out what was going to happen, but to see those two grow old together, then to see Carl left alone, it was such a touching way to start the movie off.

Wow, this is really great. Well done! I've seen Up 25 times in theaters so far, I actually think that's my limit now, I went to the 25th with balloons and all, that was a spectacular day. This part of the movie is great! I love how spontaneous Ellie is at the beginning, really makes her lovable. Excellent job, I hope to see more Up fanart from you, your style is really nice.

this picture is great. this is the kind of moment you'd expect to have seen in that montage.

i cried when she died. that montage was one of the smartest things ive seen in a movie to date. the movie meant so much more despite the simple story line, and it allowed you to get to know carl on such an intimate level...it was almost like his character was developed, or perhaps a kind of character development...such a strange concept that you never see in movies.

I also loved how at the end he lets the house go and how it ends up right next to the falls ^^
