Description
I'm sure anyone who has seen this movie will agree with me that one of the saddest scenes is when ellie dies. The relationship that was built in your head while you were watching it during the short montage will stay in your mind long after you leave the theater. I usually do some sort of Pixar Movie poster fan art, but this time I decided to do something different. Hope you like it!Quick Pencil sketch with Photoshop painted background.

Aww! Actually, the scene that made me burst into tears was when he gave russel the Ellie badge. Dx I love this drawing!

Agreed, I think this was the first movie to have me get teary eyed in the first 10 minutes of the movie.
Anyway, this is both cute and sweet. ^_^

That was the saddest scene but what has to be the most heartwarming scene was near the end when Carl opened the book and he looked past the 'Stuff I am going to do...' page.
How is it that Pixar can make a romantic comedy starring two robots that hardly speak any words and a love story that involves a floating house and have them be better than 93% of the romantic comedies and love stories that the rest of Hollywood puts out?

That's probably all that I really remember of the whole film .
"Up" is a lovely film, and you captured this tender moment beautifully Great job!

In ten minutes, without any dialogue or narration, they managed to tell the sweetest love story with the saddest ending ever.
Animation studios of the world? Take note.
THIS IS HOW IT'S DONE.

This had to be one of the CUTEST scenes in the whole movie.
There are so many cenntimental moments that just bring tears to your eyes, it's a beautiful movie. One of my favorite parts is the look on Carl's face when Russel says "Cross your heart?"
That only drew him that much closer.

You really evoked the feeling of the scene where they hide under the bedsheet at night. Great movie, great art!

Beautiful. I agree about the impact of that montage. It says a lot when a movie has you crying within the first ten minutes.

What I thought was very powerful in the movie is that Pixar focused on making the characters, especially Ellie when she is young, extremely likable. It was hard to believe that that charming awesome little girl dies later on... It's so heart breaking...
Great way to capture their charm and sweetness! Excellent picture!

i thought it was one of the best character set-ups i've ever seen, it got me fully attached to really feel the loss at the end of the montage in order to empathise with the main character
i love this little moment you drew here ^^

It really is amazing just how attached you become to the two within the first fifteen minutes. Even knowing the basic premise from the commercials (that he's alone later on, apart from Russell), I honestly cried as that montage came to a close, Carl sitting alone with the balloons about.
You really did these two justice here, and an action so simple as Ellie patting Carl on the back really captures the relationship between the two.

It was fantastic because the commercials were sort of foreshadowing in that he was alone, and yet you still got really emotionally attached to Ellie's character It's my favorite movie and this is a really fantastic piece to sum up their relationship.

What about waiting a week or two SO SOME PEOPLE WON'T GET THE MOVIE SPOILED? Because maybe some people are a tad unlucky and can't rush to the theater on the very day the movie they waited for a whole year for comes out?
It's a nice piece and I'm sure I'll be able to appreciate it after I'm actually seen the movie.
But gee, thank you.
