Description (Full view to see shit better)

PHEW. Finally, this thing is done. These are my four owl characters, and are part of my main cast of characters. I'm rather happy about this, despite some goofs in anatomy and shading. But I had the most fun smacking down a design for each individual owl. My brain derped during Neia and Xyler's bio's, though. Idk why. But anyway, I'm pretty sure each looks distinct enough from the other, something I am quite happy with. Also, each has a symbol that represents them behind them, though they aren't uber important or anything. And now, onto their info:

NOTE: Information is subject to change.

Name: Sagus
Occupation: Sagus (Keeper of Wisdom)
Bio: Sagus is a member of owls known as the Sagus. The Sagus are keepers of secrets, wisdom, knowledge, and must dedicate their life to expanding their knowledge as well as chronicling events. All owls who are destined to become a Sagus are born with the same crescent and circle mark as seen on Sagus's forehead - this has become the universal symbol of the Sagus. However this doesn't mean that each Sagus in the reincarnation of previous ones - each one is an individual on their own, chosen by destiny for their task.

Sagus, as is typical of his occupation, often has his nose stuck in books. He has an insatiable appetite for knowledge, and a great amount of curiosity to go with it. However, he is not without caution, and would rather ponder the best way to go about something than charge head-on. Whatever new things he has discovered, he will write down on the nearest blank piece of paper in an instant. He is also one to go to if you need to know anything, and he will not hesitate to share - or waste your time blathering on about things you'd rather not hear.
Sagus is also somewhat skittish, and can get into a tizzy quite easily if things just seem like they're going wrong. And ignoring any advice he gives also tends to upset him a bit. However, he has quite a bit of tolerance, even if he seems to be flailing in a desperate situation. He cares deeply for his people, and for his friends and family, even if he may sometimes come off as a complete know-it-all to them. He only means well. Sagus also has quite the big heart, eager to help any and all in need in whichever way he can - something his extensive knowledge has helped with greatly many times before, especially for those who have been injured. Sagus also seems to have an affinity for Faeyans, a rare, magical insect-like race who are said to be able to restore tattered worlds when they get each element to work together in harmony.

Name: Ironbeak
Occupation: Clampmaw Clan Warrior, Metalsmith
Bio: Ironbeak is a member of elite warriors known as the Clampmaw Clan, founded ages ago by a well-known warrior called Xavier, affectionately called "Clampmaw" because of the unusual amount of biting power in his beak. It was later discovered that the bite was in fact, genetic, and so, Xavier and his offspring soon gave rise to the Clampmaw clan, a line of warriors with powerful bites and names alluding to the main trait of their clan.

Ironbeak, however, is a case of odd irony. He was not named "Ironbeak" as a nickname alluding to the prosthetic metal beak he has, but because of his powerful bite, known to break the bones of his enemies and even pierce steel armour. After losing his eye, his right leg, and most of his beak in battle, he had to recieve specially designed metal prosthetics to replace the missing parts of his beak, as well as a metal leg and an eye consisting of gemstone. While the beak and leg worked fine, the prosthetic of his right eye failed to work properly, leaving him wiht only one functioning eye. However, he kept the gem eye as a battle scar which he wears proudly to this day.

Ironbeak's disposition is somewhat jovial as long as fighting and taverns are involved. However, he doesn't fight because he enjoys causing trouble - he does it because of the adrenaline rush it gives him, and the fact that it is a means of exercise to him. He only ever fights with those who he feels can take him on, and these fights never really end up with too many injuries, even less with serious injuries. The combatants, in the end, are also in good spirits, and it is said that it is the brew served at the owl taverns which helps to induce good feelings - hence why Ironbeak frequents them so. Ironbeak also onlyusually fights if he is in a foul mood, which doesn't happen too often. He is also a lover of exercise and keeping himself fit and strong, which makes him quite agile despite his build, with plenty of stamina. Though he has the title of warrior, he chose to give back to the community with the fitting work of being a ironsmith, and has shown an odd affinity to creating fancy wrought iron work.
Ironbeak has also been known to be somewhat loud and obnoxious at times, and can often easily be angered. Most of the time, he will just give an intimidating glare to the agressor, but isn't hesitant on using his fists to deliver his message. In combat, he has been shown to not be your average brawn-over-brains guy, though he has his times of acting rash, something which has cost him bodyparts before. However he also learns from his mistakes. Though he prefers to use his body as his weapon, Ironbeak is not above using weaponry if really needed, and makes use of spears, axes, cossbows, and even his forging hammer.

Name: Neia
Occupation: Watchmaker, engineer
Bio: Neia's occupation doesn't stem from any special line or destiny, but started when she was dropped off by her grandfather when her mother was off to work. Her grandfather was a watchmaker, and though young Neia had more interest in observing insects (and sampling their taste) in the garden, there came a day when all that changed. Asking her grandfather just what it is that he does, he set ehr down on the perch next to him, and explained it all in a way that Neia's young mind could understand. Thus began her fascination as she watched her grandfather work day by day, learning more and more about the world of watchmaking. The current Sagus of that time also lent her a book on watchmaking, something which Neia got lost in quite often, much to her mother's dismay. However, her fascination didn't stop at just making watches. Neia's fascination also stretched to machinery built with similar principles and parts as watches. Any information regarding these, Neia's mind devoured eagerly. As the years passed, Neia's knowledge and skill concerning the mechanical grew. Years later, she would take on her most ambitious project ever to save her king's* life.

Neia, despite being considered something of a tomboy, has a rather sweet disposition. She's slow to anger, focused, and kind-hearted. She has a soft spot for owlets, showing a penchant for looking after young ones. Most wonder why she didn't become an owlet-sitter of sorts instead because of this. Neia has also been shown to be emotionally strong and willful, a trait she showed when Xyler, her husband had fallen into a vegetative state from critical injuries he recieved in battle. Neia has a penchant for creating strange and fascinating machines to help all owlkind, as well as prosthetic parts for those who have lost limbs. Neia is passionate about her work, and may go into long tangents explaining exactly what each individual part of a machine does. However, if she catches on that her explanations aren't having any impact on those she is talking to, she will immediately changed the subject, albeit blushing.
Despite her emotional strength, Neia isn't emotionally invulnerable. She has been known to make rash desicions, even when the odds are against her. Such a case was evident when her beloved king*, Xyler, gained severe injuries during a war, dooming him to live life in somethign of a vegetative state. Neia, desperate not to lose her beloved, and not wanting her children to grow up without a father like she did, set about to tackle a project which many had deemed impossible to save her king* from his fate. Neia is also somewhat sensitive, and even though it would take quite a bit to make her snap, once she does, it's hard to get her stable again. Neia is also something of a worrywort, worring about the safety of her friends and family. This may cause her to overwork herself, which causes a chain reaction of messing something up, and frustration building up with each consecutive messup, and leaving whatever she was working on worse than before. At which point, she would either give up or need to be coaxed into rest. Neia also has a bit of a temper, sometimes being as bad as Ironbeak at her worst.

Name: Xyler
Occupation: Warrior, assistant engineer.
Bio: After receiving numerous critical injuries and a blow to the head during a battle, Xyler was left in something of a vegetative state, and leaving his queen*, Neia, brokenhearted at her husband being in such a terrible state, almost barely living. However, this set Neia on a path to create an artificial, mechanical body for her beloved king, something much more advanced than any of her machines she had ever created. And so, with her mechanical know-how, and some help from Sagus, Xyler recieved an advanced mechanical body, engineered and built over the span of five years, and a second chance at life. And with his second chance, Xyler developed a greater appreciation for life. With an advanced mechanical body consisting of clockwork, mechanical genius, a crystalline core, and skin of tough, flexible leather, Xyler notices little difference between his mechanical body and his old biological one, save for requiring a weekly replacement of lubricant for his mechanical parts. He can still eat, drink, and breathe with specialised systems that convert consumed items into energy and coolant powering the crystalline core, Xyler seems to mimic life. However, the very same soul of Xyler is infused in his core, like a heart, like life force. And Neia doesn't mind her husband being mechanical - it's the fact that he still lives that matters to her.

Xyler is an overall nice guy, and a bit of a joker. He tends to not dwell on negativity, and would rather poke fun at a gloomy situation than mope about it. He often makes humrous quips about him having a machanical body, but this is because he greatly appreciates the second chance at live it allows him. He is also quick to cheer up those who are having a bad day, or just listen if they need someone to talk to. He is very faithful to Neia, and greatly appreciates what she did for him - and the fact that his time with her hasn't been cut short. He adores owlets as much as Neia does, and has taught Ironbeak a less harmful fighting style similar to Sumo wrestling (something which caused worry for both Neia and Sagus).
Though he is generally positive, Xyler has times that he gets down. He tends to reflect on his mistakes in the past, especially those that cost him his biological body. More than that, though, he regrets the agony that he put his queen through, but knows that if he had perished, she wouldn't have been better off. Xyler tends to act somewhat rash, especially when the safety of others is concerned, willingly charging headfisrt into battle without much thought of his own safety. Despite this, though, he is a skilled combatant, whether he makes use of weapons or not. Xyler can also be rather insentitive at times, making jokes at the wrong time, or making a joke that upsets senstitive individuals. He sometimes upsets Neia with jokes regarding his curent state on bad days, which gives him a feelign of walking on eggshells - he'll be cautious around just about everyone until he can think of a way to cheer her up - something he excels in.

*The culture of these owls doesn't refer to pairs as husband and wife, nor mates, but rather as a king and queen. Engaged couples are known as prince and princesses, and boyfriend and girlfriend couples are simple known as duke and duchess. Rulers, however, will be referred to as Master or Mistress. Owl culture differs from human culture in that way. Weird I know.

Sorry for the tl;dr guys.
And of course, Sagus, Ironbeak, Neia and Xyler are miiineee, as are their designs and backstories. No stealy.

/EDIT: Fixed Ironbeak and Xyler's mechanical feet. The previous ones didn't look right to after looking at them for a good long while.
