Description
Armour concept thing. No, that is not a helm. It's a crown-thing. Helms look just a tad silly and I don't know how owls would be supposed to wear them. (I'm looking at you, Ga'Hoole. And your magically-glued-to-the-head-helms.)Also yes that it a pseudo-crotchprotector thing. Idk it just needed something extra. And texture background from CG Textures because it would look too bland without it.

I really like this. Although I think the ga'hoole helms are held on with leather straps, although it doesnt really show because of the feathers.
OVERALL.
Very nic (B

Aaahhh that explains it. It always looked to me like they were held magically in place. XD
But thanks to a friend suggesting that I ogle falconry hoods, I think I got a better idea for the fitment.

Maybe look at the leather caps they put on birds during falconry? Those things seem practical to use as helmets here too, I think o:

Hmmm...I might fiddle with the idea, though those caps originally cover the bird's eyes so that they can have them sit still before they let them fly off and do their thing. Either way, I don't want the heads of the owls to look too cluttered/covered up.

True, but the way the helmets are secured could be used too?

Pehaps. Eh, I'll think about it. And fiddle with it when I'm not distracted by other stuff.
