Description
Physiology:

Onix's body is a rather unique one. While many consider this mighty behemoth to be a descendant of snakes, Onix typically has more affiliation with that of worms. It's tube-like body can contract and expand, allowing it to barrel through the ground at speeds that would seem otherwise impossible. It's moist and thick skin allows it to dig through practically any substance without harm, giving it sturdy defenses against the few predators that it has.

Thanks to having lived underground for so long, Onix's eyes have grown over time to be much larger than a normal Pokemons, allowing it to see in even in the darkest of caves. Not only that, but it has a unique diet consisting almost entirely of dirt and rocks, it's body absorbing the minerals inside to help it grow to the large size that it has become. With it's immense body, it has little trouble fighting off any of it's enemies, and it's hooked beak allows it to unleash a rather punishing Crunch attack while it is Binding it's foes.

Behavior:

Despite it's intimidating size, Onix is actually a relatively docile Pokemon. It tends to stay several miles underground, and rarely interacts with humans as a result. However, if threatened, this pokemon can become hyper territorial, and even seasoned trainers are cautioned to stay clear of this Pokemon when it's in it's natural element, such as caves, tunnels, mines, etc.

Onix is not known to predate on any other Pokemon, although every now and then it accidentally eats the rare Paras or Diglett when it's going on a dirt eating spree.

Catch Rate: On a ranking scale out of 10, Onix typically tends to fall on a 6.9, mainly due to how rare this creature is, along with its powerful body making it a rough fight for any trainer. However, if it's taken off guard, it's quite easy to capture this creature if it's not prepared for your advance.

First of many Pokepedia entries. Just me drawing some pokemon semi-realistically. What I'm trying to do is find what animals would work best for each pokemon to make it an actual viable pokemon.

As for this big guy here, I gave him attributes of a worm and snake mostly, but I thought a sharp turtle beak would make sense for it, and a dorsal fin was added to make it match it's original incarnation. Although I guess the dorsal fin could help it cut through the dirt as well.
