- WARNING - (SPOILERS BELOW) - WARNING -Hey! You know what could be really awesome? If we actually got a fight with Alphys during Genocide!
So I made just that, a fitting scenario for a fight against Alphys!
Like one of the underground's final defenses for extreme emergency situations. A giant battle mech made by the brilliant scientist Dr. Alphys.
I based this mech off of some stuff earlier seen in the Earthbound games.

But, there are some things I will have to update. A lot of facts are now considered obsolete.

I am imagining a nice, tough boss fight with this music:

I'm imagining some of the following mechanics:
Mechalphys has 3 targets: left arm, center, right arm.
The arms have reasonable defense, and bringing the HP of either one down to 0 temporarily reduces the intensity of attack, but after a few turns, Alphys repairs the arm.
The only way to win is to deal enough damage to the center, but its defense is tremendous... at first.
The clues are the colors in the center. It starts off red, and if you CHECK:
*Mechalphys ATK 99 DEF 999
* Shields render attacks useless
You have to survive a few turns, and then it changes to blue. If you CHECK:
* Mechalphys ATK 99 DEF 80
* Shields recharging
Halfway through the fight, the color scheme changes up with more options, all vaguely but not explicitly relating to the colors of the tile puzzle:
Yellow: CHECK * Shimmering with electrical energy
Actual effect: (Attacks are reflected, and will continue to be reflected while the center is blue if the previous color was yellow)
Green: CHECK * Swirling like a vortex
Actual effect: (Shields will absorb attacks, increasing her defense)
Orange: CHECK * Looks sticky
Actual effect: (If you attack, your SOUL turns orange and if you attack while her center color is blue and your SOUL is orange, attacks are reflected!)
Purple: CHECK * Reducing your SOUL's coefficient of friction!
Actual effect: (Your movements are slippery, taking time to slow down, speed up, or change direction, making dodging harder, and your SOUL turns purple, the only way to undo the Orange effect)
After doing enough damage, perhaps about one third of her health, you get the last color:
Pink: CHECK * Th-this wasn't supposed to happen!
Actual effect: (Mechalphys DEF drops to 10, but still has lots of HP. Now's the time to attack full-force!)
Basically, I want the CHECK option to only give vague hints, and for this fight to be a real challenge, not only for timing and reaction speed, but also figuring out the pattern.

This is pretty much exactly what I was thinking of if Alphys ever did fight you in Geno.
Though, the design I'd had in my head was more like Porky's spider-tank-thing. This is really cool though.
