Hello everyone, Hfbn2 here and I just got inspired.I has been braight to my attention that authentic Megaman 9 Concept Arts from back when the game was being developed have now been released to the general public.

Amongst these drawings there were some early designs to the 8 robotmasters and the special robot, displaying some very diffrent looks and designs compared to what was ultimately released officially.
Turning out that they didn't get any sprites due to not being in the game, I myself felt compelled to make some sprites out of the designs that were shown to us in these concept arts.
Here we have Cement Man (Concrete Man), Weather Man (Tornado Man), Ocean Man (Splash Woman), Plasma Man (Plug Man), Diamond Man (Jewel Man), Honey Woman (Hornet Man), Magma Man (Magma Man) Space Man (Galaxy Man) and Other Cop Enemy (Fake Man)
Well anyway, I hope you like these sprites.

All of these Robotmasters, designs and everything were thought up and are owned by Capcom.

Wow, I really love some of their older designs, especially the blue Diamond Man, the star-shaped Galaxy Man, and the Cement Man with the "headband." Weirdly enough, I like Weather Man a lot, too. However, I don't like Honey Woman. Interesting for what she is, but a tad generic, and Hornet Man had a better design. Anyways, you did great on the sprites!

I like Diamond Man, glad that the ufo galaxy man was the one to get finalized, and the CementMan would definetly work as well.
As for WeatherMan, I think that he would be best to be seen in a remake of megaman working off the MM7 style, sue to his complicated design and awkward arms. HoneyWoman's really adorable, wouldn't mind her being in the game, but HornetMan's hive design is cooler in the end, even though I would like it to be mixed with the stinger hand hornet man.

Maybe! But yours look good enough to imagine how they would look in the game. You did a great job at compressing all of those detailed drawings into tiny sprite form!

so great! i actually like these original designs more than the more "classic" ones they finished with. with some talented pixel artists, i bet that they could have pulled it off in 8-bit.
