This is my prediction for what the shiny form will look like. Do not take this as legit, this is just for fun.I have a theory that some of the Alola forms don't fully change, thus Shiny Ninetales could have the same color as normal Nineteles.

Has it been determined yet, whether or not I'll have to catch a whole new Ninetales to get this form? I ask because, I have two Ninetales already in X. One is regular, one is shiny.

Alolan Form is the Pokemon equivalent to Real Darwin Evolution while the "Evolution" in Pokemon is actually Metamorphosis, so no you can't change your regular Ninetales into an alolan one, just like how you can't change a Husky into a German Shepard even though they are both Dogs,
by technicality these Alolan Variants are essentially New pokemon that will most likely share it's Pokedex Entry number with their original ones. It's not known if the movepools will mirror each other, especially since not all their abilities are mirrored as counterparts in anyway for example Ninetales has Flash Fire which absorbs fire attacks, while Alolan ninetales does not have an ability that lets it absorb Ice attacks.
