Here's another contest entry I've somehow cooked up while being bored at work.So yeah, this is an entry for the "Paper Mario characters in Human form" contest, currently being held at .
I've decided to go for Koops, as he's just a fun character, and pretty much my favorite party member in PM: TTYD.
I've originally started drawing it with Koopa King K (My favorite Glitz Pit Minor League buddy) in mind, but decided to go for Koops instead, as I've noticed the overall posture didn't fit the hip hop happenin' Bling Blinger all that well.
I didn't really know what to do with the shell at first, until I saw a Kingdom Hearts advert and remembered Goofy's shield usage - the decision was quickly made to add a "Shell Shield", afterward.
Besides, one of Koops' most useful skills in the game IS the shield he can summon to protect Mario... it really saved my butt in the final battle, so this is sort of a homage to that awesome move.
The background is kind of a half-ass job, I must admit - the picture felt so empty even after I was supposedly "done" with it... so I decided to spruce it up a little with Paper Mario 2's stage setting.
I also noticed just before submitting that even though Koops hasn't been done yet, Paper Mario 1's "Kooper" has - I'm really glad I managed to differ enough from that deviation to warrant its own appearance.
Now I can only hope it's at least somewhat successful. ^_^;
EDIT: Wrong hand? Why, what-ever do you mean? Eh-eh-eh... *coughs sharply as he fixes the image*

I think you have to hit the button at the right time so it'll cover Mario up correctly... otherwise I think it breaks sooner. Not sure anymore, been a while since I played it. XD

Hmm, koop got a ...thingy on his mouth.."pleister".. guess he is hurt..Looks to be now as a huge guy with a baby face..hehe..Don't know how theo rignal looked like.. And the background is fine..Just the hand, even it is fixed, still looks weird, i mean..It's a kind oof ackward pose..you try standing with your front hands to the front..Doens't feel to pretty..Ah well.. I have some painful poses given away too a lot O_o;; poses suck

The original? Well, there doesn't seem to be a lot of Koops art on the Web, so I suppose you could imagine a Koopa Troopa, with a band-aid across his "beak", wearing those clothes, one drooped eye, and the shell on his back, obviously. XD
The hand... yeah. In one way I'm proud of how the hand itself turned out, and I KNOW it's supposed to go at least something like that, but it still doesn't look right for some reason. X_X
Also, I could have done something more interesting with that hand... aside from screwing it up at first, that is. XD

That's Paper Mario for ya, what normally are Mario's mortal enemies suddenly can find it in their hearts to join in adventuring.
There's a Goomba, a KoopaTroopa, a... cloud person, a baby Yoshi, a Bob-Omb, a Mouser, and a shadowy girl.
Sadly, I've never played the original on the N64 though.

well i have played it on an emulator.. Didn't like is at much, it missed the humor of mario and luigi saga, so the plot was all like
"blah blah blah, there were 7 stars in having peacefully blah blah blah, but then some powerfull force destroyed and shattred them over the planet, blah blah blah, and the villain who did this wants teh shards so badly so he sits in his lair waiting till some stupid moron gets teh shards and brings them in his lair himself..
Random Toad: mario mario!!!!
Mario:...
Toad: the stars fall down you gotta save them!!!
Mario...
Toad: i knew you could do it, now whii go found them!.. oh and by the way, princess bitch has been captured by bowser again..bye!"
well..so you get a side scrol platoform game starrin mario, but everytime you jump on an enemy you get a rpg fight instead..
can't remember all helpers i got, one pink bomb girl and one goombo kid at least.. you can use them to solve puzzles too..
The game was not much of one big area but more seperate villages and sceneries, with enemies..Till i got in a desert world, where i got lost and lost the interest to play the game..
Oh by the way Ruben, in case you're eagerly watching the mail everyday, i still forgot to send your percil ^_^; ;;

There's no hurry, I've got plenty to do - if not anything on the Dreamcast, then I still have Tales of Symphonia to worry about. XD
