So I made myself one. Only evidently I didn't try hard enough. I was under the impression the term worked for any oddly colored canine who wore silly human clothing. But it seems there are more stringent stipulations!I was thinking, while I was working, how ludicrous I wanted to make it, and decided to go rather conservatively. There aren't any absurdly bright, clashing colors are completely ridiculous accessories. But it's got some piercings and human type hair and textiles. Oh, and the glasses. I had a bit of a chuckle at the glasses.
Way back when I used to design lion characters for no real reason other than the fact that it was entertaining. I have a few silly lion characters. No sparkledogs
I managed to dodge that bullet. Until now. Or is he a wolf? I don't know. A wolf/dog cross.
'Sparkledog' makes me think they should sparkle in the sunlight. That just makes me laugh all the harder.
THEY DAZZLE ME D8<As a bit of a disclaimer, I don't have anything against anyone who does draw what would be termed a sparkledog. If that's what someone enjoys drawing, then that's what they should draw.

I like how it's still a bit sparkledog-esque, because of the coloring and accessories, but still somewhat natural as well. There isn't a shitload of piercings or a rainbow tail or anything like that.

I think he's adorable. I'll admit I like to make them, but in their descriptions I have them owned by little girls and eccentric adults that dyed their fur and gave them clothes.
What's really funny is that growing up in the 80's and 90's we had tons of sparkle animals: My little pony, Care Bears, Don Bluth films, etc... It was only a matter of time that these guys would show up in the art world.
I'll tell ya what though. They are fun to create!

your colors go to well and the markings flow
a true sparkle dog would be brown with rainbow tail, and checker bored back, red ear, blue ear, yellow toes, green and black stripe tounge
while wearing a bracelet with a syringe charm and have song lyrics tattooed on a leg and having belly-corset rings
