Description
A very brief, experimental artwork. I have a lot of art supplies, some of them expensive, that I never use. Markers. I hate markers. But I've got them so I need to do something with them. It's fun to do something different at any rate.Related content

You did very well with the markers, this is so beautiful. I love the flowers growing off the antlers and the gorgeous patterns on the fur.

I believe it was textile ink but it could have been watercolor.

It looks so clean, I thought it was done in photoshop at first with all the texture added.

I'm from Eastern European heritage, and this reminds me a lot of something from that mythos. Yevgenia in deer form...
The background looks very watercolor-y; did you use a wash over the markers?

It was a piece of ink-stained paper that I drew and colored over :3

Stained intentionally or accidentally? If the latter, it's a great use of something someone else might have simply trashed. Sometimes serendipity is the best medium!

It's a muntjak with an elongated neck and fancy antlers.

Ah I see! Haha I wasn't even close, the markings seemed a bit bongo-ish. Muntjaks are such odd creatures

I like this a lot.
I've always toyed with the idea of a tattoo with sakuras, going the length of my torso. All the ones I've seen have featured the tree very prominently, and I tend not to like the large amounts of dark brown; it's jarring to me. I really love the Japanese brush paintings of sakura blossoms on very watery-looking branches, but I fear I'd never be able to find an artist to replicate it on the body.
Anyway, this reminded me of those, somehow, and I like the organic lines, and the soft colors. I could see it as a tattoo.
