Description
This was a bit of a journey. I had intended to paint the feline very transparent and fluidly over this stained paper but couldn't get it to look right so I added more and more paint until the paper had all but disappeared. Ah well; next time.Related content

Great persepctive, indeed it is a head shot but yet it seems like she is either coming at me or I am hovering down towards her. Doing a head is common but the way you did this some how looks different just as I described. Perhaps it looks like she is coming out of water. The whiskers look so lively as if they are sensing things. And the eyes so colourful and passionate.

Coming up from a swim perhaps? Very pretty even if it wasn't what you wanted.

Well I say yes to this version. I love big cats. They are such beautiful animals. The eyes are incredible and I love the way you incorporated the fur pattern into the water. What kind of brush do you use to create the fine, little hairs?

This is absolutely breathtaking. I'm in awe of the emotion in the feline's eyes and the expression on its face. Although there is little actual motion in the painting, there is the appearance of coiled potential. Beautifully done.

What media did you use? It looks beautiful. I love the orginality of the picture with the feline's pattern on the forehead - looks very sci-fi!

It was acrylic ink and acrylic paint, mostly. Some color pencil.
