Description This is a view from the Jokhang temple in Lhasa, Tibet during more peacefull times. I was lucky enough to get access to the roof and take this photo over the old city towards the Potala palace in the far background. The Bhudist wheel of Darma with the two deer is made out of gold! It is unbelievable that during the Chinese cultural revolution this most sacret place for Bhudist pilgrims all over the world was turned into a cinema. Only when tourists started showing interest in Lhasa, the Chinese rulers were kind enough to reshape it in it's old glory!
