Description
E.O.W. entry for Conceptart.orgPretty satisfied with this one. Took 6 hours (plus 5 for the revisions), no ref. All done in Photoshop 7.
-------------
The ‘Novgorod- 47’ Prototype testing facility is the most technology-advanced institution on Hyplochia. When the 12th Imperial War broke out in the year 2450, this facility proved to be one of the best testing grounds for the then infamous tactical combat droid ‘Seu’.
Currently, unmanned sentry drones are being tested since Novgorod-47 has fallen under control of ‘The Elders’.
edit: I just retouched this super old piece quite a bit because it was selected to be used as a front cover on a book title about how to paint Sci-Fi. ^^
Here is the old one for comparison because I overwrote this deviation:

hm, I kinda like the file browser in PS 7. They use Adobe Bridge for the CS version and that doesn't work as smoothly for me... :/

What does it need it for..It can save animation on it's own and I haven't even seen a place for it to switch over.

Brilliant work! Easily on a par with Ryan Church's fantastic art for the Star Wars prequels.

I'm not gonna say anything apart from the fact that this piece is just awesome. The realness of the black ship in the front, the orange light coming through, the perspective looking down - it's just so detailed. All those bits of technology and stuff you've drawn, it's just amazing. Truly stunning. Outstanding work.

Some of the perspective is a little weird, but I love the sketchy to realism style.

my god! I registered on the site to leave you a comment.. absolutely amazing work..
I notice that you said on one comment that you fear that your work is looking a bit samey, but seriously, this is all excellent work! Distinctive.
Have you thought about working with programmers and 3d modellers to create a virtual world of your vision? I think it would make an excellent point and click adventure game scenario.. something I've thought about developing myself..

Hi!
This is really impressive - especially for only 6 hours of work ... I think I would need about 6 days with more than 10 hours of work every day just to get close to something like this ... I wish I knew how to work that efficient - maybe someday I'll find out Or you could tell me ...
I really like how this hall stretches out into infinity and the bright part where the sun shines through - well basically I like everything ... although I think these "spaceships" (especially the one in the front) would look great if their cockpit and frontsides were more detailed - it already looks cool, cuz they've got some amazing design - but they have the potencial to even look a lot cooler
