E.O.W. entry for Conceptart.orgPretty satisfied with this one. Took 6 hours (plus 5 for the revisions), no ref. All done in Photoshop 7.

The ‘Novgorod- 47’ Prototype testing facility is the most technology-advanced institution on Hyplochia. When the 12th Imperial War broke out in the year 2450, this facility proved to be one of the best testing grounds for the then infamous tactical combat droid ‘Seu’.
Currently, unmanned sentry drones are being tested since Novgorod-47 has fallen under control of ‘The Elders’.
edit: I just retouched this super old piece quite a bit because it was selected to be used as a front cover on a book title about how to paint Sci-Fi. ^^

Hideously awesome! Love the lighting effects. And thats a cool looking jet. Maybe a future take on a stealth plane.

I haven't favourited much recently but this is definately worth it! Your sense of perspective is stunning and the contrast between the hot and cold colours is immense. It reminds me of work by *airage.
Looking a little closer parts of this are a little sketchy but I like that, it means that it has character which you would lose if you were to airbrush it to much. I do something in photoshop and think 'that looks pretty cool' and then I see something like this and realise I hardly know the program at all...your skill with it is remarkable.
Can I have one of the floating spheres? Please? They're just so cool!
Only six hours as well, but a six hours that was well spent. I know you'll no doubt get a lot of comments like this, especially 'cos of the DD, But I really mean it, that's awesome work.
