well, it looks like a stick, I know is just a 5 min doodle but try to give it more attitude... eehmm looks too simple, try to add... I dont know, skulls of any kind, maybe some animals or something more agressive, remember that swords were weapons, no weapon is created to defend but to kill so it has to cause fear. So think about agressive things or shapes.
