Description
I took six or seven of this insect and well, only one is well focused. It shook even I lay the camera on the floor. And then, I had to creep slowly to it, so I'll not scare away my only insect macro.Does anyone know what type of insect is this? A moth?
Took this at the balcony of the hotel lobby during night. You should look at the floor, there are a PLETHORA of insects all around.
Genting Highlands, Pahang, Malaysia.
Cropped and adjusted the level. Constructive comments are welcomed.

Ooooh, great shot here. It's totally a moth, though I'd be hard-pressed to tell you anything beyond that except that it is fluffy and I have the bizarre desire to pet it.

It looks like a puppy to me.
Petting it sounds nice. Just make sure it won't bite or fly away.

Perhaps a biology teacher has answers.

moths have the same mouthparts as butterflies, so they can't bite, though the can lick you
