Description So, I picture her and Harry taking their time to marry, as opposed to Ron and Hermione- who I sort of see getting married just a few years out from where the books left up before the epilogue.

I also see Ginny as being a bit of a celebrity for her Quidditch skillz- thus I see her going by Weasley... Does she ever change her name to Potter? Hmm... I guess she would legally- but I see her still going by Weasley or Weasley-Potter when doing her reporting- because she is known as 'Ginny Weasley- Chaser for the Harpies.'

As opposed to Hermione- who yes, is a bit of a celeb- but a political one and war hero- so it's a bit different.

Nice work and I agree with your thinking of how Harry and Ginny would take their time.

Well in the book, it says "the five Potters" so I guess she does change her name. But I love the idea of her still going by Weasley. I don't see her and Hermione giving up their names, not after all the crap they've been through.

love the fact that Ginny becomes very famous! Maybe she will never be as famous as Harry, but... Who could?? He is the boy who lived, twice! Like you, I like to think that Ron and Hermione got married much before Harry and Ginny, although the latter had children before the former. Because of that, Ginny probably became famous still as a Weasley. I don't see Ginny liking to be famous as a Potter, anyway! Seems the same as being famous because of Harry. But I think that she would probably use Mrs. Potter, later. After all, she may be the first Miss Weasley in years. But after the third generation is born, there will be like 5 Mrs. Weasley and 6 Miss Wesley. Too many Weasleys!!!! By the time all Mrs. Weasley's grandchildren start Hogwarts, 50% of the whole school will have the same surname!!!

Haha, this looks just like Ginny! The cool pose, the smile... Great work! I like how messy her hair looks, too.

I agree about the names... I don't think I can ever see her be just "Ginny Potter". I think she'd prefer to use both, not just because of being known Chaser Weasley. Of course that too, but I think she especially would take great pride of being a Weasley.

JK's released some info on this, and you're right. Ron and Hermione do marry quickly while Harry and Ginny take their time. She plays Quidditch for the harpies, they marry after a year or two of that, so yes she'd probably keep Weasley as her "sports name".

What I do wonder about is, if Ron and Hermione married quicker, why are their kids younger- or why did they wait so long to have kids?

Anyways, nice picture. Ginny looking appropriately badass.

I think the reaosn they waited was because whenever it was they got married- their lives were very busy-Ron being both and Auror and helping George with his shop- Hermione trying to rebuild the ministry laws and establish her career. Plus they were only 17, and waited 7 years before kids- making them a young 25 when they gave birth. Hermione is the kind to want to plan out everything, including kids. "When things are settled!"

I figure Ginny got knocked up and then she and Harry were like 'oh yeah- marriage." Perhaps they had already been engaged for a bit- but yeah.

Reading your version on Harry and Ginny's reason of getting married, I must say I TOTALLY agree. :3

Your Ginny is so pretty, but also very athletic and tomboyish. I love how you've drawn her Quidditch uniform and her hair.

I agree with you about Ginny hyphenating her last name. She'd definitely keep Weasley since she'd be famous.

I love your Ginny

And I imagine it right backwards, Harry and Ginny marrying straight away (because they're both the kid that just jump into things) while Ron and Hermione take their time to do everything (and Hermione has all properly organized ).

You see, I think that after all that happened Ron didn't want to mess about anymore- sort of a 'wow, why did we just keep doing this for so long- We love eachother- let's just do it.' Kind of like the kiss. 'Now or never.' Ron is very traditional, and Hermione seems to be as well.

However Harry and Ginny- though quick to get involved initially- I think they're more the type to be quick to jump into something physically- however, weddings and all that don't matter to them much. I see them much more likely to take their time 'living in sin' and then finally getting around to tying the knot. And that moment at the end when they triumphed: "He spotted Ginny two tables away; she was sitting with her head on her mother's shoulder: There would be time to talk later, hours and days and maybe even years in which to talk."

They aren't in a rush- they're just savoring the moment.

I think you have great points about Ron and Hermione and Harry and Ginny and what their relationships would be like in the Post-DH timeline. Although, I don't view Harry and Ginny's physical relationship (which they'd be having before marriage. I'm with you on that) as "living in sin," but I guess you were just using that as an expression.

Hah- I don't see it as 'living in sin' either. I think I can picture Molly bemoaning it, though.

Oh, yeah, she would. I don't think she'd be too pleased with it either. I think she would realize that there's not much she could do to control it.

My opinions on sex are strange. I'm personally more conservative (I don't want to wait 'til marriage, but I want to wait until I'm engaged), but I can't say that I judge what other people do. My only exception to that is that I don't like the idea of one night stands.
