I actually really love the look of the little more ugly Mermaids. I'm not a big fan of the pretty Disney ones... But i think your version is pretty amazing.

No. They look different in the movie. I drew this about a year ago, but colored it yesterday. The movie ones are more fishy in the face, and less human looking. This is from my imagination from the description in GoF, the book.
