Description
Drawn forIt's a groupd dedicated to collecting tutorials and resources to help artists better understand and interpret the Pokemon style, mostly the Anime style. So I encourage everyone to join.
I'm so sorry this looks so horrible. I originally inteded to upload it as pencil line art, showing the tutorial in a more traditional style. But my scanner ruined that. I had drawn out every step, but was forced to ink it. I hate drawing on photoshop..so annoying. I preffer the traditional method. XP
The process can be applied to any medium, pencil, pen, digital..whatever.
This is basically how I draw animals, humans and robots. First circles and lines and then add the details along the way. I do skip some steps though, but I think this is as basic as I could put it out there. There are a lot of mistakes mind you. The whole idea behind this is applying this steps. The details will become better over practice and not rushing, like I did with this.
Also I heavily distort this process when I apply it..I'm a fucking messy artist and sometimes can't even make out my own lines!
I'll be doing some more, and they'll probably look much better as this was the first and I was figuring out how to portray it.
Another thing I want to mention. I have a horrible memory, so I usually always draw with some refference at hand. For Ash I've stumbled across this. [link] Character settei, or character sheets, are ALWAYS good to study. As they give different expressions, and sometimes like this one, are just lineart.
Figures and toys are also good refferences, aslong as the mold is good. That's usually how I work with Zekrom and Reshiram.
Also, don't take any of this as absolute. I'm a lazy n00b when it comes to drawing really. I still have a lot to learn and figure out.
