Specific Details About Appearance: Sam has a petite form with very little curves. She has a lighter lavender hair than that of her father and brother. The charm of her necklace used to be a hair piece that her father gave to her before his disappearance, but after an unexpected event it broke and she re-purposed it as a necklace. Her belt buckle is the planetary symbol for Montressor, her home planet, that Jim gave to her before she let to join Hinata in Twilight Town.

Mechanical Arm: The arm was fully designed and created by Sam and Jim Hawkins. It uses an Antlantean Crystal as its power source and is able to generate electricity and energy blasts, as well as create a hexagonal induced plasma shield. The metal tips on both of her gloves help transmit the electricity from her arm to shooting out as a projectile.

Bio:

Sam first shows up in Third Beginning in chapter 6 when Hinata is searching for a skilled mechanic to build her a custom ship so she can get off of Montressor. She stumbles into an old rundown factory mechanic shop where she meets Sam and her brother James. The entire shop is run by the two of them, but mostly by Sam who is the one that builds Hinata her ship. Sam and Hinata become quick friends and Sam shows her the ropes of Montressor. She reveals to Hinata that her father went mysteriously missing two years before and since his disappearance she's been the one running the shop and had to drop out of school to do so. It's obvious it wears on her but she also seems content.

When Jim Hawkins comes back from the Academy on shore leave for the Benbo Inn's reopening, Hinata introduces him to Sam, not realizing they grew up together and unintentionally reigniting a friendship that had broken when Jim's father left. Shortly after, Hinata finds a way off Montressor when Riku arrives and Sam is left behind on Montressor.

A few months later, Riku surprises Hinata by taking her back to Montressor for a short Christmas vacation. While she is spending time with them, she finds out that Sam and Jim had begun dating. The excitement is short lived as Axel unexpectedly shows up in order to take Hinata (the Organization is pursuing her). Sam and Jim try to help Hinata from being taken but Axel lets out a large fire blast to distract them that severely burns Sam. So much so that she is rushed to the hospital and finds out that her left arm must be amputated.

As she is staying in the hospital Ben brings her the Antlantean crystal Hinata had received during her latest mission to the city of Atlantis. She isn't sure of the extent of its power, but takes it regardless. It isn't until after Hinata is recovered from Axel that Hinata shares with her the immense power stored inside the crystal and she uses it to heal the burns left on Sam's now stubbed arm.

Even after being healed, Sam was unable to fully accept what had just happened and seemingly out of nowhere she tells Hinata that she wishes to go with her back to Twilight Town so she can help wake up Sora. Hinata doesn't understand and tells her it's too dangerous and that they would have to get DiZ to agree, which would never happen. Despite it, Sam calls DiZ herself and he tells her that she cannot come back with Hinata. Being told no only makes her angrier as she gets more determined to go back to Twilight Town. She then devises a plan to sneak aboard Hinata and Riku's ship before they leave and be a stow away. She convinces Jim to help her with it, but she refused to tell him why she feels she has to go.

They work together throughout the night to create Sam's mechanical arm and she sneaks aboard Hinata's ship that is already docked in her shop, with Jim being the only one that knows she's leaving. She is able to make it to Twilight Town unnoticed and has Ben help her with the finishing details of her arm on the trip. As she arrives in Twilight Town and is discovered, DiZ demands to speak with her at once. She goes into his office and begs him to let her stay. He asks her why she insists on being there since she's never even met Sora in her life and she confesses that she is there to get revenge for what happened to her. At her answer DiZ suddenly allows her to stay, ordering her on her first mission before sending her after the Organization itself.
