Description
Unsure of a name yet. Basically they are based on the white or bald faced Hornet en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bald-fac… (because it's made from a Bumble bee, you see, I has smartz
I'm also not sure whether to have them be male or female. The initial idea came from the character Bug Bite...but I don't want to make just a 'prime' bugbite. Too easy. I want them to be original (even though I have kinda stolen Bug's colour scheme...O.O)
They are part of a duo, the other character will be Strayt Jacket (made from the armoured 'beast hunters Bumble bee' figure, basically taking his name from 'Yellow Jacket' a name for a Wasp) Although he isn't much in terms of paint. Just a few details and a con sticker whacked on.
Figure isn't finished yet, just about to finish up the right leg, then onto the back and then ensure the car mode is fully painted
(...for the moment I affectionately refer to them as Bug Balls...O.o')

I've seen the TFP Bumblebees used for lots of interesting customs, how was it to get the paint to cover the yellow plastic, and what kind did you use? ^^ It looks lovely and smooth!

Well, there are plenty of them out there
I used a thin spray of plastikote enamel gloss white to cover the whole finger. I'd actually recommend using a proper white primer, but I didn't have any so I used a thin coat of the gloss instead I then brush painted the figure with citadel model Acrylics (if you don't know what to look for, I use the paints used for painting Warcraft and such figures from game shops) The large white areas I painted with a flat brush, it helps cover the area well and gives the even finish
Any brand of enamel spray paint and primer should be fine to my knowledge, but to be sure look for ones that can be used on plastic. When painting in white I would strongly recommend a matte finish paint, and when finished cover the whole fig in a clear coat, which will achieve a gloss finish. Gloss white can often be goopy and since multiple coats are usually needed it can get messy

Ah, I'm also in the UK so anything you recommend I can probably find, don't worry. I am mostly sad I can no longer get my preferred brands shipped over from Japan... (Gaianotes paint is just fantastic).
I'll give the Plastikote primer a shot, I'm near a Hobbycraft so it's pricy but easy to find. I've found a lot of other white primers too rough lately... Thanks for the info!

I do every so often, it's a fun hobby
No, no Predacon, just a regular Decepticon car with an insect motif
