Nice little figure here but I'm not nuts about the character, so for my own collection I just gave Smokescreen here the least amount of work I could to get him fairly screen accurate without spending lots of time on him. Just a few hours of work and this is how he came out.Related content

there's nothing inherently unlikeable about Smokescreen, but he reminds me WAY too much of Hotrod and Hotshot, which weren't bad except the writers of those shows treated them like total Mary Sues. Frankly when he gave up the opportunity to become the new Prime by using the Forge to save Optimus it was probably the writers' way of saying "and that's what SHOULD have happened" to the previous continuities.

Haha I don't mind. I don't really like the show plus I was already pretty sure that was what would happen. Just watched it though. Very similar to the Beast Wars episode where Optimus Primal was revived as a Transmetal.

Very nice. Too bad they messed up his paint scheme. If I was good with a paintbrush, I'd at least paint in the red parts on the head.
The toy is fine, although I'm not like super crazy about him. He's got his flaws, but he's pretty good. This guy stopped me from thinking about getting an AM Smokescreen at least.

the more i look at this mold the more i keep seeing g2 drench or g1 triggerbot backstreet (both need a new head based on whomever you kitbash him into)
