Description
The title says it all and its obvious what I did so here ya go!Stuck the before pic and CGI render in there too for comparison and what I was going for here.

Hi. My boy Kasper is obsessed with transformers and found this via an image search.
He's always hoping I can customize his transformers with a can of spraypaint - and so I'm asking you: is this a computer-generated 'mod', or did you actually do it with paint?

yeah they do look very similar. Bay says LOTs of totally stupid shit, lies, and contradicts himself a lot so that sounds like him. Barricade was finally back in DOTM and I don't recall him and BB even fighting or acknowledging one another as rivals in any way.

toward the end Barricade executes Wheeljack(Einstein dude) and then under Soundwave's orders prepares to kill Bee, it looks like Soundwave but its Barricade.

Nope. First a random protoform Decepticon shoots Que, then Barricade finishes him off. Then Soundwave grabs Bumblebee and pulls him over to execute, and puts his gun to BB's head. A couple of minute after BB kills Soundwave, the humans easily take out Barricade and the protoform that helped kill Que.
I just watched that scene repeatedly to make sure.

I read somewhere that Bay had originally planned for Barricade to be the one killed by Sideswipe, BUT he wanted to maintain Barricade and Bumblebee's rivalry to Dark of the Moon

i just got my sideways yesterday i repainted him and he turned out great

I'm not one of the Elite like Jin Saotome, Frenzy/Rumble, or Sabrina. Work at it and you can spit out stuff like mine or better in no time.

Just get some spray paints for the base coats, tape off what you don't want to paint, and afterward touch up details with brush paint.
Nobody taught me how and I didn't have a guide. The best way to learn is from your mistakes and experience. I did pick up tips along the way from other customizers online though.
Aside from practice, getting good at inkwashing and dry brushing are the main things you might need to learn.

Thanks. It seems that when I mix even a little black into silver to make any tone of gunmetal it never leaves brush strokes. I love gunmetal as so much of my custom work shows.

I took him apart since he comes apart easily and spray painted every piece flat black. I have a mixed bunch of acrylic brands I used for the rest because some brands have better versions of colors that leave less brush strokes or don't peel or scrape off easily.

Which brands of silver and gunmetal would you suggest? I'm leaning towards Citadel from what I've seen and read about customizing.

I've gotten brands of paint I just didn't like and had to throw away, but it actually depends on the color. Some colors peel off or leave brush strokes and some don't. Seems most Testers paints are good and any decent spray paint is great. I have so many mixed brands of paint in the box now I don't remember what the brands are specifically for each color.

sometimes the way the toys are painted or how the color of the plastic is way off, it seriously makes me think that they're too lazy to be at least a little accurate o-o;
