Rankopedia Banner 19: Best Anime ProtagonistsThis is a banner made for a ranking on Rankopedia about the best protagonists in Japanese anime series titled: Best Protagonist from Anime Series .
It is a collection of 24 best (or my favorite) thumbnails selected from 55 candidates, and beyond post-editing to assemble them together as a collage I did not create the initial contents. The only characters I don't know is the girl 2nd to the last at the top.
3rd, 6th and 7th character on the middle row. And the second and the second to the last girl at the bottom row.
I mostly watch/saw the other animes except for a few which I'm only familiar with.

Which reminds me that I have to watch Cowboy Bebop. I keep forgetting to.

The female character at the top right is Major Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell. The following are the names of the character based on the order of what you mentioned:
Ayanami Rei (Evangelion), Lelouch Vi Britannia (Code Geass), Kenshiro (Fist of the North Star), and Sakura Kinomoto (Cardcaptor Sakura)
I never finish watching Cowboy Bebop myself so I need a memo for that too.

Cool, you know quit e a few of them. L is a an awesome character, without him Death Note wouldn't be the same. If you like L and Light Yagami, you might find LeLouch vi Britannia (above L) as intriguing also.

I just finished the anime a few days ago and the story just blew me away. Now I consider Code Geass the best anime series I've ever seen as it ended with a thoughtful message on good and evil / right and wrong. So I definitely recommend it.

Out of all of these, I only know 5 of them. The Death Note dude, Naruto, Sailor Moon, Pikachu, and Inuyasha. I only watched Pokemon and Sailor Moon, the rest I just know because of fan art. I PHAIL at anime.
