Description
haha this was fun~i had to actually think about this meme for quite some time cuz i totally don't remember who influenced me XD
YoshihiroTogashi - concerning my early drawing style, he probably had the most influence on me; even now. I had always approached drawing bearing Togashi sensei's Yuu Yuu hakushou style in mind-- simple and beautiful. I loved his later works in YYH becuz it was so lose yet powerful. Still a VERY big fan of his works >w< (YYH was very popular in Taiwan in the early 90s and my bro was also a big fan so i was exposed at a young age)
Pokemon - ahh pokemon, how can anyone NOT be influenced by that adorable electric mouse, Pikachu! XD
I was around grade 2 when it became every kid's new obsession. I was very into myself haha. But it didn't really made any impact to my art until i saw the "Pokemon Special" manga 2 years after. I was sooo addicted to the cute art! >u< (also the game series)
Hayao Miyazaki - The Ghilbli films were extremely popular when i lived in Taiwan. (I had 2 copies of the VHS for castle in the sky, nausiica, totoro, porco rosso, and Kiki's delivery service!) My entire family were fans of his too XD I didn't realize the epic-ness of the films back then but it still remains a important part of my childhood. And let's not forget the art is ridiculously awesome.
=ReverieDream - She must be like, "WTH!" right now if she's here XD Cindy probably doesn't realize her importance to me as a growing artist. She's the one who told me about the magic of drawing on the computer, she was like a mentor to me, she is my DA buddy, she pushed me to actually spend time on my cgs, she was so inspirational, and she helped me in so many ways that i can't thank her enuff. (we also cosplayed together ^u^ ) Without her, i don't think i could have made it to where i am rit now as an artist~ SO thanks so much Cind!
Doraemon - another classic anime during the old days~ Truth be told, i never looked at Doraemon as a anime until i was well into my jr. high years. (i also thought it was an American cartoon..OTL *FAIL*) Regardless, i still love it~~
Doraemon was like the Ghilbi films, enjoyed by all the families thruout Taiwan. We had all the VHS for the movies as well haha! My mom still enjoys watching Doraemon on tv....
Sailor Moon - I blame SM for my sailor fuku uniform fetish : | My grade 8 agenda is entirely filled with girls in similar sailor fuku uniforms...THANK GOD the teachers didn't check it or else i'd be so screwed...
CLAMP - CLAMP gave me a different perspective as to costume designing, it was more specifically from CCS. Also experimented with shoujo style art after reading CCS manga~
THE PURTY-FUL SKIES IN CANADA~ speaks for itself : )
~vic-mon - A lot of my art was inspired by her fabulous works~ she was my fav artist for quite a while~ It was after studying her works that i started to approach coloring differently~
Newtype Magazine - I had subs for this magazine for almost 2 years and it was my resource for anime news~ It had definitely inspired me to draw after looking at all those pretty pictures =v= (i gave most of the magazines away when i moved...*sob*)
*Dark134 - OMG her works are jaw-dropping...she's too amazing...i learned a lot of coloring techniques just by looking at her art. She inspires me to be a little more of a perfectionist XD
Makoto Shinkai - this dude...he's just pure genius. His skies were the reason why i fell in love with cg-ing skies in the first place. I can't express my love for his art, u just have to go look!
Vanarts - the animation school that i recently graduated from...was like my second home~ THanks to vanarts, i'm now WAY more critical of animation more than ever. (that's part of the reason why i don't really watch as much anime as i used to
ok i'm tired now...that was a lot of writing!

I love YYH, too! No one really knows about it anymore. D: Not anyone I know, at least. I remember thinking the guy named Kurama or something was really cool. ;7;
Pokemon, Hayao Miyazaki, Skies, and Makoto Shinkai inspire me too. C:
