I researched MPD and painted my perception of it... MPD is where an individual has 2 or more different identities... the first personality isn't usually aware of the 2nd, while the 2nd may be partially aware of the first. If the first personality is quiet, shy, sexually inhibited... the 2nd personality is likely to be loud, outgoing, sexually promiscuous... Although the personalities fight for access to consciousness, they usually have a certain time when they come out -- like a trigger...

I've painted a face, with a circuit board running over it... and the two personalities in the top left hand corner.... the circuit board is supposed to be their triggers... one circuit opens, another closes, etc... I'm not much for electricity, or knowledge on it, but a circuit board was the easiest way for me to solve this.
