Two hours later, Martha was waiting at the Arrivals section of the airport. She had told the driver to wait until she returned. Now, she was standing in a crowd waiting for the travelers to get out of customs. One by one, travelers walked by. Then, the sliding door opened again and a man in his twenties stepped out. He was wearing a business suit and was dragging a trolley behind him. When he saw Martha, he was seemingly surprised. "Martha! Is that really you?"

"Yes. It's me." Martha ran towards Luca, who left his bag behind. Both embraced.

"Martha. How? We thought, you were..." Luca stammered.

"It's a long story. I'll tell you everything on the way. Let's get you to the hotel first. The limo is waiting outside. I work for the hotel, you know."

Luca nodded. "We have to take Frida with us, my secretary." He stepped aside and presented a woman about Martha's age. Like Luca, she was wearing business clothes.

"Welcome to Switzerland!" Martha greeted her. "This way please."

On the way back to the hotel, Luca asked Martha where she had been over the last two years. On the way to the airport, Martha had made up a cover story, but now that she had met her brother face to face, she wasn't sure if she could lie to him. She decided to dodge the topic: "Luca, that's a very private story. I'd rather tell it to you when we are alone." She nodded towards his secretary and the driver.

"Oh, I understand. Of course. How about I invite you to dinner this evening? Then we can talk about everything." Luca said. "Just one question: you're not living with that bum Marco?"

"Oh no! I dumped that asshole long ago." Martha replied and added, in her mind: "into a pond to be precisely."

"Then I'm relieved!" Luca replied, while his secretary interrupted: "I'm don't want to disturb your family reunion, Sir, but we have still some preparations for the meeting to do. Here's the charts we were going over on the plane. If you will look..."

For the rest of the journey to the hotel, Luca and his secretary were occupied with business figures.

Meanwhile, at the hotel, Babette was taking a break. David was nice enough to take over for 10 minutes at the reception. And since Martha was currently away, Babette thought it a good opportunity to make her move on Sami. So she went over to Sami's lamp. Before she rubbed it, Babette blinked herself into her genie attire. Then she called Sami. "Hello Sami." she greeted him.

"Babette? You're a genie!" Sami was astonished. "But how?"

"I wished for it and Martha granted my wish. Isn't it wonderful?" Babette smiled. "How about we celebrate my transformation this evening in town?"

"So you decided to become a genie for good? Permanently?" Sami continued to inquire.

"Not yet. I want to try out what life as a genie is like. In 72 hours, I'll be human again." Babette explained. She couldn't tell Sami that she hadn't though at all about becoming a genie for good. Her intentions were different.

"For 72 hours... Where do you live as a genie?" Sami said.

"I live inside Martha's lamp."

"So, Martha is a human, now?" There was a hint of fear in Sami's voice.

"No. She insisted on remaining a genie." Babette replied. "You haven't answered me about celebrating my transformation this evening?"

Sami smiled. "So, she's a free genie now..." he mumbled before he answered the question. "I'm sorry, Babette, but Martha will come over this evening."

"I wouldn't be so sure about that. Martha's brother arrived today. I assume she'll spend the evening with him."

"Her brother?" Suddenly, Sami feared that her brother would turn Martha away from him. Quickly he regained his posture. "I understand. Martha is surely happy to see her brother again, after all these years. Still, she promised to be with me tonight."

"How about this." Babette proposed. "If Martha won't see you tonight, I'll come over and we can have some fun."

Sami thought for a moment. "Alright. If Martha won't come over, we'll go out this evening. And maybe I can show you a few things about being a genie."

"Sounds interesting." Babette replied. "I'll be over this evening. See you later."

"See you later." Sami returned to his lamp.
