Description Franziska climbed the wall of the Grandhotel quite easily. At least at this point, Martha had kept her word. She would deal with the genie later. Franziska looked for a room that wasn’t occupied, and when she found one, she took a tool from her belt and manipulated the lock on a balcony door. Soon, the door was open and Franziska slipped into the room. To her surprise, she could see much better in the dark now, obviously another advantage of being a cat girl. She quickly she began to loot the room, careful not to make a noise. After a few minutes, she heard a sound from the door. Franziska took cover behind an arm chair. A second later, the bolt unlocked and the door opened. The person who entered the room was one of the hotels maids. Immediately, Franziska noticed several, strange facts. First, the maid didn’t switch on the light; second, the maid’s ears were very large and third, Franziska noticed an unfamiliar smell that emanated from the maid: the maid smelled like prey! Franziska gave in to her instincts and leaped from her cover. The maid gave a shriek. Mortal fear was in her eyes, as if she had faced and old, terrible nightmare. She turned and ran out of the room. Now, Franziska could have returned to loot the room, but to her own surprise, the instincts were much stronger. She simply had to hunt down this tasty mouse now.
Franziska ran behind Amelia down the aisle. The maid was standing at the elevator, pushing the button in panic. Franziska got down on all fours to leap on her prey when the elevator doors opened. But instead of the maid slipping into the elevator, a big German shepherd dog jumped out. The dog posed himself between Franziska and the maid to protect the mouse girl. Franziska felt immediately threatened and as an instinct, she humped her back. It took Franziska a lot of willpower to suppress her new cat instincts. She took a can of special chemical mace from her belt and spayed it on the dog. The mace was a special mixture to repel dog attacks. She had used it several times before. The dog was confused at first, giving Franziska the chance to flee. She ran back into the room and closed the door.

In front of the elevator, Amelia was still sitting on the floor. Her heart was racing. Cats were mortal enemies to her once and the fear still stuck, especially when she encountered a mixture of cat and woman. Andy, her dog, was still running in circles. Amelia summoned all her strength to call for help on the intercom. “David, David!” she yelled in the receiver. “She’s here. It’s monstrous. Come quick!“ She was still in a panic.

When David Sprüngli arrived at the scene, he saw a completely frightened Amelia. “What happened? Where’s the thief?” he asked the maid.

“Save me David! She’s going to kill me!“ Amelia yelled.

David realized that he had to take care of Amelia first. He sat down next to her and took her in his arms. “It’s ok, Amelia. She’s gone now. She can’t hurt you anymore.“

Amelia calmed down a bit. “Thank you!“ she mumbled and snuggled herself into David’s arm.

“Please tell me where she went so we can track her down.“ With his other hand, he reached for the receiver.

“Don’t leave me.” Amelia cried.

“Don’t worry. Please tell me what happened so I can tell the others and call the police.” David tried to calm the maid. David informed the others about the intruder. Then he calmed Amelia down and listened to her unbelievable story of a cat girl attacking the maid.

Meanwhile, Franziska had fled to the balcony of the room. When she heard the mouse girl call on the intercom, Franziska decided to flee from the scene. From the balcony, she saw employees of the hotel swarming the garden with torch lights. Her original way of retreat was cut. Soon she would hear the sirens of the police. There was only one way left: up to the roof. Again, her new abilities came to a good use. Without much effort, Amelia climbed the wall to the next level. Suddenly, searchlights illuminated the façade of the building. Franziska had to get out of sight soon. One level above, she found a poorly secured window. The room behind it was dark. Quickly, Franziska opened the window and slid inside just before a searchlight caught her. The cat girl slipped inside.

Suddenly, the light was turned on. “What are you doing in my room?” a blue-haired woman, who was lying in the bed, asked.

Franziska wasted no time. The grabbed the woman by the throat. “Normally, I don’t do things like this. If you let me go and say no word, all will be fine, understood?” she threatened the girl.

“Oh really?“ The blue-haired woman reached for her nightstand. Her hands caught a ball of wool. “Here, kitty! Catch!” The woman waved the ball in front of Franziska’s eyes, then she threw it across her room.

Franziska felt the sudden urge to catch the ball. She let off her prey and jumped after the ball. She caught the ball and played with it for a few seconds. When she had regained control, the other woman had already fled from the room. From the open window, Franziska could hear several voices now. Her time was running out. She ran out of the room into the aisle. The blue-haired woman was talking into the intercom. A “ping” indicated that the elevator was coming. When the door opened, a young man, the mouse girl and another, blue-skinned man stepped out of the elevator. This was too much for Franziska. On the other end of the aisle was another case of stairs, leading upwards. Franziska ran for it.

“You! Stop!” David yelled when he saw the intruder after he left the elevator. But the strange woman in the black cat suit turned and ran for the stairs to the roof. “Follow me Sami!” he said to his fellow genie and gave chase. Alas, they didn’t catch up with the thief until they reached the roof. The burglar was standing on the edge of the roof, looking back at him. For the first time, David saw the burglar. She was a slim woman, but also very athletically built. She wore a black, skin-tight cat suit. The strangest things about her were her cat-ears and the cat tail, wiggling from her spine. “Stop! You have no chance! Give up!“ he commanded. The burglar shook her head, accelerated and jumped over the parapet. David and Sami rushed to the edge of the room. In vain, he looked for her on the ground.

“There she is!” Sami pointed to the branches of a nearby tree. It was indeed an astonishing jump, but the cat-burglar had aced it. Both men had to watch the burglar climb down the tree and disappear between some bushes.

“You could have used your magic to stop her!” David scolded Sami.

“Only when you make a wish first, ‘Master’” Sami teased David. “You know the rules.”

“Sorry, Sami. I’m still not used to this wishing business.“ David apologized. “But say, can’t I just wish for the burglar to be arrested?“

“You could, but is this a wise move?” Sami crossed his arms. When David gave him a questioning look, Sami continued his explanations: “First, the police would surely ask inconvenient questions when they arrest a cat girl. And second, do you want to see Martha’s lamp end up in the hands of the police? Even if they give lamp back to you, they might find out that Martha is a genie. And trust me, that’s the last thing both of us want to happen.”

“You are right Sami.” David felt like a fool. “We’ll have to free Martha all by ourselves, it seems.“

Ha, I can only imagine the cat burglar is heading back to make the rookie mistake of trying to get an annoyed genie to fix the first wish with another wish...but I guess we'll see...
